Wait, I'm confused: I thought that Republicans had explained Obama was switching venues because nobody wanted to go see him at the DNC and the place was going to be empty. How could they be pissing off people by also not having enough seats? I was assured if Obama went through with it the crowd would have looked like this:

I heard that Obama moved it because he was afraid Bain would blow up the stadium in the middle of his speech and then hold all of Charlotte hostage.

ExperianScaresCthulhu: The point is that those kids worked hard to earn their way to that speech, and it was taken away from them instead of a way found to accommodate those kids. This thread is full of partisan fail. This was a very big deal to those kids. How will this be made right for them?


I heard, yesterday on the news, that the campaign intends to insure they all get to attend an event with the President before the election.

NPR reported yesterday that the people who had tickets and do not get into the arena tonight will be given opportunities to attend events with the President before the election.

Their odds of getting in would have been better had they donated money instead of their time.

At least they got some hope and change out of the ordeal.
