I actually rather enjoyed the Black Friday experience there last year. Since they opened at midnight, I cruised in around 1 AM as the initial crowds were dying down and grabbed a few of the things I wanted. They still had plenty of most of the doorbuster items, so I got everything I wanted without dealing with waiting out in the cold or crazy mobs rushing into the store.

Continued high unemployment and uncertainty surrounding the U.S. presidential election has retailers cautious ahead of the 2012 holiday.

So the cure for that is to keep prices high? Good business plan, Lou.

Just this week, I saw Christmas decorations and artificial trees for sale at Costco. Ugh. I'm to the point that I actually loathe anything to do with Christmas and the over-commercialization surrounding it.

I'm going to wait until I see a picture of Jill before I make up my mind.

I'm waiting for a year round aisle or two of Christmas, v-day, or fourth of july crap at Walmart.
The clerks could wear a American flag Santa hat.
