Sorry Barry, that was your theme song from the 2008 "New Hotness Obama" tour. This is the 2012 "Old and Busted Obama" tour.

/Everyone is singing about Yesterday now

As if misery loves company, Mitt Romney's favorability rating remains numerically lower even than Obama's in this poll

Meh Romney fails again.

Still, it would be nice if those fav/unfav numbers would go back to where they were so the blowout can commence.

I find it hard to believe that "I love you women!" is going to stick with women more than Michelle Obama's speech last night.

The DNC just started and soon the debates will begin.  Obama will look like a million bucks when people see the alternative.

Well, he can't deficit spend like Reagan did after his nasty ass recession.

Michelle curbstomped Ann. It was fantastic.

How many of us felt about Ann Romney after her speech can be summed up in this letter.

So Obama's predicting that the Republicans will lose control of the House? Because that's the only way anyone who is middle class is going to see anything like prosperity.

If most people dislike both candidates, can't we just trade them in for better ones? We should get like 3 trade-ins per party at least.

Reagan increased the national debt by about 2 trillion over 8 years
Obama has increase the national debt by about 4 trillion by 12/31/11
So are you trying to say, if reelected Obama will suddenly halt deficit spending? Although he has reduced the increase in growth to suggest he won't deficit spend is silly.

Hold on, it's not true that most people dislike both candidates. One party grudgingly nominated a guy they didn't like, but the other one is pretty happy with their candidate. It's only the other side that hates him.

$2,000,000,000,000 of 1988 dollars would be worth $3,875,968,992,248.06 in 2012

Still, half the time for sure, but not quite as dramatic as you try to paint.

Not to mention that the interest on the debt ~25 years ago was substantially less.

For close to seven years, we had a war or two on the credit card. In 2009, we decided that it was time to pay the bill. That deficit did not appear overnight.

In the quantum multiverse there's an entire subset of universes where "we" elected John McCain/Sarah Palin back in 2008. I'm sure that in that halcyon paradise, we have full employment and everyone enjoys quality healthcare, booming 401Ks and cars that are powered by cotton-candy-scented leprechaun farts.

Well you see the economy collapsing and revenues plummeting to the floor despite an extant, passed budget in no way could be a debt increase under one administration whose root cause was under a previous administration.

I realize the media is trying desperately to make this seem like a close contest, but favorable ratings aren't electoral votes.

Post-convention poll shows slight dip in favorability for Obama, while Romney's favorability is still less than Obama's.

First, that's not a very good convention bounce. Second, favorability ratings matter considerably less than... what's it called again- oh, polling on actual voting.

Jebus, the media is starving for data points that make the race look close.

Historically this is true, most money = you win. Curious when the law of diminishing returns kicks in though and the extra money doesn't mean anything.
