I'm very surprised to learn that Johnny Ramone will be voting for Romney

These celebrities who I respect as artists have changed my mind completely about voting for Obama. I will now cast my vote for Romney, since I am sure that these talented musicians could not possibly steer me wrong with their opinions.

Hilary Duff is voting for Romney?

Well that tears it. Goodbye Mr. Obama.

2012-09-05 11:57:55 AM
Gene Simmons is my moral compass. I'll be voting for Romney now.

Define "not entirely batsh*t crazy"... Because I'm pretty sure Nicky Mange breaks that farking meter...

2012-09-05 01:12:37 PM
The only one that surprises me is Arlo Guthrie. I either already knew the others leaned right or didn't have any preconceived notions about their political views.

2012-09-05 01:17:51 PM
Not crazy, just stupid.

2012-09-05 01:18:00 PM
Rich people are voting for Romney? Well color me farkin astounded!

2012-09-05 01:18:01 PM
You mean rich people vote their self interests? HOW DARE THEY!!

2012-09-05 01:18:17 PM
Sold mostly old male musicians and dumb blond women?

2012-09-05 01:18:30 PM
Johnny Ramone is not voting for anyone. He's been dead since 2004.

2012-09-05 01:19:00 PM
Arlo Guthrie? Well, slap me hard and call me "Charley"! And is Hillary Duff really considered a "musician"?

Good for them. It's a democracy, they could write in Gingrich for Pres for all I care.

If Mitt didn't have to pander to the Republican Party then he would be a half decent candidate. The Massachusetts version of Romney may have given Obama a run for his money.

2012-09-05 01:20:08 PM

Spandau: Johnny Ramone is not voting for anyone. He's been dead since 2004.

And as we all know, dead people vote exclusively Democrat.

jj325: I'm very surprised to learn that Johnny Ramone will be voting for Romney

Johnny Ramone was always a big Republican, but I think only Democrats can vote in presidential elections after being dead for eight years.

2012-09-05 01:20:27 PM
A lot of those assume that just because they're registered Republicans (some almost a decade ago) they'll be voting for Romney

Spandau: Johnny Ramone is not voting for anyone Obama. He's been dead since 2004.

Fixed.

No surprises there, and I wonder, does Arlo's guitar have a sticker that says, 'this machine kills commies?'

2012-09-05 01:21:01 PM
Wow, mostly old rich white men....how surprising they're voting for Romney....

Republican rappers are far and few between, though 50 Cent has compared himself to George W. Bush and LL Cool J attended the 2004 Republican National Convention. (Via)

Quelle surprise, considering that seven out of ten of the musicians listed (counting the Beach Boys as one entry) can credibly be labeled "old white guys".

I don't understand why the ones that say they are Libertarian are not endorsing Gary Johnson?

GET YOUR FACTS OUT OF HERE!

/Wonder what Johnny thought of "My Brain Is Hanging Upside Down (Bonzo Goes to Bitburg)"

2012-09-05 01:22:19 PM
A lot of those were "They are registered Republican, therefore they will obviously vote for any Republican the party puts up."

2012-09-05 01:22:19 PM
Just because someone identifies (or did identify at one point) as a Republican doesn't mean they will be voting for Romney.

/Hell, my whole family is ex-military, meat eating, gun toting, white Christian small business owners and no one has voted for a supposedly "Republican" candidate since 2004. Lots of Republicans doing the whole Gov. Christie thing.

//Also, Obama is a center-right Republican

Remember all the Holly Weirds coming out in support for Obama? Unfortunately, there are plenty of people who will believe anything an actor/actress says. Unlike Fakers, who are hard core intellectuals with selfless lives and beliefs.

2012-09-05 01:22:34 PM
They left off Alice Cooper.

2012-09-05 01:22:40 PM
They voted for Obama in 2008 to prove they weren't racists.

Now they're voting against him to prove they are not idiots.

2012-09-05 01:23:34 PM

Johnson: I don't understand why the ones that say they are Libertarian are not endorsing Gary Johnson?

Because they've never heard of him.

Who gives a rats ass about morality!? this is politics!!

Pantubo: They voted for Obama in 2008 to prove they weren't racists.

Your equation does not look correct. If you are voting for Romney to prove you are not an idiot I think proof is no longer necessary.

2012-09-05 01:26:31 PM
Well, I guess this is the list of people that are suddenly persona non grata on fark, much like Clint Eastwood.

2012-09-05 01:26:45 PM
If I voted for someone just because a musician said I should, shoot me.

2012-09-05 01:27:10 PM
So Romney is the celebrity candidate then? Just look at all the hollywood support he has.

/that's how it works, right?

Cythraul: These celebrities who I respect as artists have changed my mind completely about voting for Obama. I will now cast my vote for Romney, since I am sure that these talented musicians could not possibly steer me wrong with their opinions.

Especially since they're talented. And musicians.

2012-09-05 01:27:46 PM
Also, the best (re: most hilarious) quote from a musician about this election is from Dave Mustaine

In a February 2012 interview, Mustaine gave a statement supportive of the presidential campaign of former conservative Republican Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum: "You know, I think Santorum has some presidential qualities and I'm hoping that if it does come down to it, we'll see a Republican in the White House ... and that it's Rick Santorum."

/still makes me chuckle

Voting for Romney...can't wait for him to give a speech on how having Nicki's booty on board relates him to the common folk.

1) how do you know? Someone may be conservative, doesn't mean tthey will vote for romney. Doesn't mean hey will vote at all.

2) who cares? I honestly do not give one slight moments care for how anyone else in the country votes.

No because it's supposed to be NOT entirely batsh*t crazy.
