"What I've done so far has worked and I still have things to do to fix this economy" is more credible than "Trust my magical secret economic policies that I'll totally tell you about if you elect me"

Republicans filibustered his homework and stopped him from turning it in, making him look bad to his teacher.

/And it is working

... so vote for the people who caused him to get an "incomplete"? Makes sense.

Republitards - we haven't forgotten your obstructionism. We aren't as daft and amnesia-prone as you.

Boehner, McConnell and Cantor are smoking in the boys room, snickering about how they replaced Obama's homework with three pages from Republican Cabana Boys Illustrated.

Obama is like the only guy in the group project that wants to do the assignment.

Republicans are the guys in the group project hoping that Obama's work gets them all an A+ from the teacher.

So vote Republican.

sorry 0bama, we don't grade on the curve here - less people are employed than when you took office. This is real life, not a cushy school in which everyone gets an A for participation.

If the "something" is corporate raiding, tax evasion and exporting jobs, and the "nothing" is getting us out of Iraq and turning a falling GDP into a growing one, then good luck with that line of thought.

Actually, I would like to see him stay. Looking back it would be interesting to him deal with not just the US economy, but world events also. I would rate him as incomplete.

But I have a a feeling that, well.... he might be in over his head.

The Obama campaign acknowledges that George W. Bush isn't on the ballot

But his policies are. It's people like Grover Norquist and the Koch brothers who set Republican policy, not the candidate.

People are also used to candidates, not literal empty suits. At least we have one realistic candidate so its not a total loss. Also save your opinion, I'm not interested in who you think is who.

WTF!! Holy hell, my job and 401k are in there!

"The guys who set the blaze have been chased away. We have this guy here who's gonna try to put the fire out."

Well, give him a hose and water quick!

"The arsonists keep turning the water off"

FFFFFUUUUUU!

4 years later-
"Sir, we managed to put out the fire, and most of your house is rebuilt. Your garage and office are still pretty messed up, but we managed to find you a temporary job and your 401k is recovering. It's a work in progress."

Well . . . ok . . . i guess it could've been a lot worse. Thanks. Hey, what are those guys doing here?

"It's the arsonists, sir. They want to point out that since your house isn't better off than it was 4 years ago, you should give them another shot at it."

I get the fact that Derp storming articles get clicks but someone in true authority needs to have a talk with what ever modmin(s) are approving (or submitting and approving) all these derpy articles and headlines en-mass.

Either massive trolling by some modmin with high school level maturity, or we have a Republican modmin that is using Fark as their own personal 'FreeRepublic' site. It's getting that bad.

OR maybe people look at it differently.

"If fire trucks came roaring up to your house, and the firemen started spraying water, breaking out windows and chopping holes in the roof, one would think the house was on fire. But it doesn't have to be.
Activity alone is not proof. Just because the government has gone nuclear does not mean that it was necessary.
Capitalism is not broken. Laissez-faire is still the best, self-correcting system of economic organization. Allowing the market system to deal with the problems of the last few years would have been much better than having the government do it.
In fact, it's almost as if the government has committed arson, disabled the internal sprinkler system and is now claiming that the building owners are liable for the amount it costs to put out the fire
."

Yup. If your house is on fire, you should imagine that it's not.

And if that doesn't work, you should just be assured that your house being on fire is for the better, because house seeds will sprout from the soil fertilized by the ashes of your life and a newer, better house will grow in a generation or two.

Trolling headlines get more clicks and more people arguing in the comments. More clicks and page views means more money for fark. Don't click or comment on headlines you think are trolling: if enough people do it they might go away.
