Buses for students from across North Carolina and even members of black churches in neighboring South Carolina have been arranged.

And the Voyager I space probe continues the intergalactic search for enough dicks for the Mail to choke on.

WTF Modmins- 5 idiot wingnut greenlights in a row? Go screw yourself you pathetic troll.

Speaking at a background briefing for the press, a Democratic official said that the speech would be given in the stadium 'rain or shine' before quickly adding a major caveat.
'We do have a contingency plan, though, for lightning or other severe weather,' he said. 'We don't want to put anyone in harm's way so that's really what we're looking for, not if it's going to rain but if it's going to be really bad.

They hid that tidbit under all those pictures.

Take a deep breath and consider for a moment that the Modmins might be directing us to these articles so that we can point and laugh at them.

"Them" being the articles, not the Modmins, btw.

/Although, I guess you could laugh at the Modmins too.

I love how they note the citation of severe weather, then fail to mention the forecast actually predicts PM thunderstorms.

granted I'd be concerned with filling a 74k seat stadium as well, but any threat of weather is a problem.

You guys are both idiots (my apologies if I'm reading you wrong). Greenlighting these articles is a way to show how absurd this stuff is. If you're too stupid to realize that, there's no hope for you anyway.

Except right wing farkers defend pretty much every article and use pieces of them for their talking points, you never saw anyone post "you didn't build that" in a thread on the politics tab?

They greened a Daily Kos submission, so the only perfect way to be Fair and Balanced is to green American Thinker, Reason, Hot Air, Townhall and Free Republic links. You know, to be fair, cause libs and furthermore.

I'm kinda bummed, really. Cancelling due to thunderstorms makes perfect sense, but now I'm just gonna be watching on TV like everybody else.

It's a legitimate point. There are a whole lot of derpy links being approved that by any normal standard, shouldn't be. Some admin needs to dial down the stupid, but said admin is probably submitting them himself.

meh - so attack the contents of the article or avoid the thread altogether. Don't biatch about the article being greenlit (lighted?). In fact, having such articles approved gives people the opportunity to point out the flaws which they wouldn't have otherwise - the articles are still out there to be read, however.

They're definitely moving it. I'm sure this will be spun by the right as a result of Obama's failed weather policy and a reason to defund NOAA.

Fark makes no attempt to be news nor neutral. Fark only attempts to maximize clicks and page views. Trolling continues because it is successful.

I don't mind the occasional article, but when about half the politics page is unadulterated derp, it gets to be too much.

How could the Democratic Party know it would be hot in the South during Summer when scheduling an outdoor venue?

Heat wasn't the issue. Us North Carolinians are used to that. The thunderstorms were the issue.
