Seriously, that man is a one-key piano sometimes.

The defense does look really good. Coples and Maybin should wreak some serious havoc on the d-line, and the safety spot looks much more athletic with Bell and Landry.

The offense though... ugh.

As long as it has all the pedals, I think he'd be fine with that.

It's going to be fun watching the battle of the basement in the AFC East, Dolphins and Jets.

my thought about the Jets is this....

I think they have something up their sleeve, and they were going VERY vanilla during the pre-season.

if they were struggling that bad on offense, I think there would be an outcry from some of the players saying that OC Tony Saprano doesnt know what he's doing.. that they dont have faith in Mark Sanchez..... something.

but not a peep has been spoken from any of the players... offense or defense.

so, I think they are hiding something--- I think Tebow will be in a ton of packages this season.

but i still think that Mark Sanchez is a horrible QB

Dude. It's Tony farking Sparano. If he's hiding anything up his sleeve, it's lots of Tebow, and I don't love that idea.

/still hoping against hope that Sanchez puts it together

The first team that Denver beat last year to start off Tim Tebow's improbable run to the playoffs was the Tony Sparano coached Dolphins. So one can figure that he's just itching to get Tebow in there and have him play that same game again; a ball control running game with lots of defense. Sanchez faces a brutal schedule early, doesn't have a good set of wide outs and his running game to fall back on is Shonn Greene, who would be riding the bench on almost any other NFL team. I have a feeling that the Jet's fans will be seeing a whole lot of Mr Tebow this year. And if he manages to win a few games he will be their #1 guy, and the Jets fans will have to get used to the sound of "Timmy and the Jets".

Jets sideline: OK, line up Tebow and go for the fake snap into the play option. They'll never see it coming.

Opposing sideline: Tebow is coming out, line up for the option.

Press box: And Tebow throws another pass under pressure into the dirt, the Jets will now be forced to punt.

I will admit that Coples looked good in preseason.

What if they line up Tebow and Sanchez in a split shotgun formation? The snap could go to either one of them. If they snap to Tebow, he runs a QB option, possibly with a flea flicker to Sanchez. If they snap to Sanchez, he can either pass or pitch to Tebow.

In all cases, the ball ends up in the dirt or with a tackle for loss and the Jets are forced to punt.

All I'm saying is I expect the Bills defense to do quite well this weekend. Yes, I said the Bills.

I don't know, I'm kind of worried, we always seem to make poor offenses look good. We'll get burned on short screen passes and draw plays like we always do.

Eh, I think Denvers offense last year was better than the Jets offense right now. And no one managed to make them look good.

*sob* ... this.

I go agree the preseason was way vanilla, but just can't see any surprise happening. I guess that's why they are surprises.

Well, last year anyway, The Broncos were 23rd and the Jets 25th in total offense.

How can Rex fail? He's got the awesome offensive threat of Sanchbow and the best receiver on the team is currently playing in the Jets defensive secondary. This is gonna be a three ring circus to watch this season.

You know he had 6 sacks in relief duty for the Jets last year, right? Maybe he's no Shawne Merriman, but he can bring it.

If you watched Hard Knocks then its by far the Dolphins, they have NOTHING

This was also the single most boring season of HK ever

Rex has to say it's a great team, it's better than saying, "I doubt we'll even win 5 games with these losers." That's not motivational for the team.

It was bound to happen eventually. There's a reason the vast majority of pro coaches don't let their team behave the way the Jets do, it doesn't work.

The Jets offense couldn't even make vanilla plays work so how the hell do they make more complex packages pan out? They scored 1 touchdown during the preseason... ONE. The Jets are farked.

Never underestimate the Bills ability to lose in ways that make you think "WTF".

Was Rex not as much of an asshat when he was with the Ravens or did I just not notice because I'm a Ravens fan?

It's going to take a few games for for this football team to get in step with the AFC East, especially with their pedestrian offense. If they don't gain a toehold in the standings, they may end up being a footnote.
