wedun: shpritz: wedun: Dr Dreidel: wedun: Racial miscegination is a major crime in Israel. You know what other state outlawed miscegination?

Citation needed, as I have seen and know many inter-[noun] Israeli couples.

http://abcnews.go.com/International/palestinian-claimed-jew-jailed-ra p e-deception/story?id=11224513

That's a far cry from your claim that racial miscegination is illegal. There is also a lot more to that story.

Did you notice that the article did not mention where the testimony of the complaintent did not follow the availiable evidence? Or do you just like to hear things that make you feel better about a court system that systematically discriminates against non-jews?

Both of those don't change the fact that the man was charged with "rape by deception", not "marrying a pure white-souled Israeli while filthy and brown". They (assuming you're correct) also don't mean miscegenation - which wasn't what this case was about - equals "major crime". If anything, it'd be "institutional racism" (which I admit happens in Israel - to our continued shame).

wedun: How about the Haredim? should they be marginalized and dehumanized in Israel?

They are, and frequently. Why do they get any favorable treatment at all? Good question; I'll refer it to the WH's Office of Faith-Based Initiatives right after I watch footage of the RNC jizzing themselves at every mention of god and Christianity.

I'm no fan of my country's politics but I don't like bullshiat claims like you made either. We have enough lies and propaganda here as it is.

As an american, it makes me sick that my goverment is subsidizing your occupation of the west bank with billions of dollars in free aid, and that your country funds think tanks and other NGOs that lobby congress for the continuation of that aid. What offends me the most is the claim that the US and Israel "share the same values". If you think that systematic discrimination is "bullshiat", let me tell you something. It's obvious to everyone in the world, most of all to Americans, because americans have lived with racial discrimination for hundreds of years. No one should ever feel like they've "failed thier people" for not reproducing with a member of the same race as them, period. Every time I hear stories about the occupation, or about hate crimes in Israel, I'm reminded about how sick your country is.

America, which has spent tens of trillions of dollars to occupy half of the countries in the world and kill dozens of millions, while tolerating racial abuse, segregation (America is still, remember, segregated) is offended by little Israel. Do you bring the same indignation to the billions America has spent defending the ROK? Are you aware that inter-marriage between Koreans and non-Koreans is far lower than that that between jews and non-jews? I somehow doubt, for some reason, that it really grinds your gears. I wonder if there's something special about jews that really pisses you off.

As an Israeli, it makes me sick that my government is occupying the West Bank and Gaza. It embarrasses that institutional discrimination is so common.

But that doesn't change the fact that your claim about miscegenation is bullshiat. Even if we assume the girl is lying you still have at worst a discriminatory application of the law (and don't get me wrong, that is a very bad thing).

You want to know one of the main factors that led to our sorry state of affairs? Decades of lies and propaganda from both sides demonizing the other have led good people to hate each other for no good reason. The propaganda acted as a self-fulfilling prophecy: when you believe you're fighting monsters you are more likely to do monstrous things. So congratulations, you are now part of the problem.

It's surprising how much people hate israel and it's people
A place they've never been to
but only read about on palestinian 'freedom' blogs

(just a guess, I'm assuming that if they can type hatred, they can read it also)

I bet they're really happy to have the government all up in their bars mansplaining their periods to them.

Ostman: kid_icarus: Hey you! Jewish girl! Why aren't you having babies RIGHT NOW??

Yeah, who would have thought a race historically persecuted and specifically targeted for extermination in living memory (not to mention being surrounded by enemies who want them dead and their nation destroyed) would be little concerned with keeping the numbers up.

Shocking.

/Also, every country in the world isn't the same as the one you live in.

That doesn't make their women somehow NOT a part of the human race. Treat them accordingly.

Or, perhaps, they're trying to help people who have been told most of their lives that they can have anything they want, whenever they want.* But biology doesn't work that way. It's not a social construction. Dangers go up, fertility goes down.

*Whether that is or is not the case in Israel is unknown to me. Speaking only to a possibility.

That's treating the symptoms and not the disease itself. If we had no more religion in the Middle East people would get along at least a little better. Of course they'd still kill each other over land and resources, but it would be an improvement over the current situation, where we have hate propagating because of imaginary shiat.

We hate ethnic cleansing and apartheid-style discrimination.

Do you think that all government educational outreach programs don't treat citizens "like adult human beings" or just these?

I see all kinds of shiat all over the place where the government has found that people don't know something that has a public health or safety component and are educating them about it -- drunk driving, shaking babies, texting/driving, HIV and other STDs, babies-in-the-car, handwashing, etc.

Is it bad that I read that as babies in the dishwasher?

It would also be freaking nice if all women took the initiative and educated themselves on the risks involved in getting pregnant when over the age of 35. But yeah you are absolutely right, it's better they just let Jesus take the wheel.

That they can use to process the information put in front of them, information they may or may not have had before. But if you prefer women to remain in ignorance, then by all means, prevent people from being able to put information in front of them...

Seems a somewhat ironic location. I wonder if any of these talks mention the effects of alcohol on pregnancy and the developing fetus.

Bondith: Over the last 40 years, has the United States opened more factories

Opened more factories, I'm not sure. Produced more manufactured goods, measured in economic value -- yes, we clearly produce more (inflation adjust) manufactured goods than we did 40 years ago. We're also better at it, so it doesn't require as many people/dollar-produced, but laborers aren't the polluting part of factories.

If you wanted to make a point about how we've specifically outsourced "dirty" factories that might be true. But it's still to argue that we've reduced factory output and therefore reduced pollution.

As long as I get to repeatedly sexually assault or apply quid pro quo on hot aspiring (non-Jewish) actresses and models, you could murder ALL my extended relatives in Poland, for all I care.

When your religion and social customs term all non-Jewish females to be sex slave cattle in the eyes of god and his Chosen People (!), then you forfeit any compassion in excess of that I'd have for other persecution victims. Like other bullies, Israeli and Neocon fanatics love to bring up past persecution in order to justify present and future cruelties, thefts and injustices against others. As such, there is no moral difference between Netan-yahoo and Milosevic. There is NO god, and there is NO chosen people.

If the Israelis have official discriminatory policies against non-Jewish women, I'm not condoning that.

I'm just noting that the people living in Israel probably have living or recent family members who suffered horribly at the hands of the Russians and Germans, not to mention a long history of persecution in most of the world. Adding a number of wars with their immediate neighbours as they grew up and a long-term siege mentality, it's not a stretch to imagine that they probably have a different outlook on population management than your average American, or Brit, or whatever.

I'm not saying there is a Chosen people (because that's retarded), but I have more sympathy for a guy that turns to petty crime because he's desperately poor and had a shiatty childhood than I do for a guy who steals because he's a lazy douchebag.
