I swear, all of the Western architects and companies putting these buildings up in the Middle East and Asia must be competing against each other to get the worst designs cleared.

Someone has received an award somewhere for getting the Chinese to build this while everyone is laughing at it.
"Yeah dude, these farkers built my Pants Gate."

FTA: The $700 million Gate to the East skyscraper in Suzhou has been mocked for its striking resemblance to a giant pair of pants.

And that's just the positive space...

FTA: The brainchild of UK architecture firm RMJM, the arch was designed to "represent the significance of China in the world today".

...I don't want to tell you what the negative space resembles.

Yes, it does look like a pair of pants. But it looks kinda cool. As long as the zipper stays up and a giant schlong doesn't fall out

It would look more like an archway and less like pants if the outside profile mirrored the inside instead of being rectangular.

I wouldn't worry about that, it's a Chinese building.

Hmmm. They'd best keep squirrels and penguins out of it if they know what's good for the neighborhood.
