Stupid c*nt writes a book about starting a war and losing. That's a compelling position to write from.

That's the personal responsibility. They are personally responsible for all their triumphs and wins and they are personally responsible for finding someone to blame for all their mistakes, hubris, and epic f*ck ups.

Always the victims, poor misunderstood conservatives. They're just trying to impose their moral values on everyone else like Jesus wants them to! Why is that so wrong?

Yes, because being one of the largest organizations involved in providing health services to women clearly makes an organization liberal.

So poignant.

I do believe there is a commandment that one should not lie. That one is broken constantly by Christians.

Her anti-Planned Parenthood, anti-choice activism which had nothing to do with Breast Cancer, destroyed the charity. Dumb biatch should have kept her mouth shut on irrelevant stuff when acting as VP. I am so sick of assholes like this playing the victim, when they are just victims of their own fark ups. As shiatty of a charity as Komen is, it did help raise awareness for women to be checked. I hope a much better charity will take its place.

Never thought I'd say this, but I am glad the GA Republicans aborted this coont in the governor primary. Our governor still sucks, but he is not quite as annoying as Handel.

Handel is just trying to get Bach in the spotlight after her time on the Chopin block. She's been in Haydn, writing this book and cursing the names of those who denounced her, which she keeps on a little Liszt. She's Dvorak from reality... Mozart expecting this book to be a critical failure, but Gounod how dumb Debussy public is. I won't Holst my breath.

/Tchaikovsky

Handler failed miserably running for Governor of Georgia after being the front runner and having the endorsements of Sarah Palin and Mitt Romney, and then went on to Komen, where she managed to submarine one of the most popular and successful charities in the world. Why exactly would ANYONE read her book?

We don't care if you are working to find a cure breast cancer. That is a worthless cause unless you're paying your protection money to Planned Parenthood.

Comedy and Tragedy used to be the choices. Now reality show is a choice. We need a meteor.

Planned Bullyhood? Really? Oh, you poor, put-upon thing. Bless your heart.

2012-09-05 03:36:07 AM
On one hand, the cancer charity sought to develop new criteria that would disqualify the Planned Parenthood grants on the grounds they were not cost-effective. Handel also determined that the grants could be suspended on grounds that Planned Parenthood was under investigation at the state and federal level, notably a probe launched by a conservative Republican congressman at the urging of anti-abortion groups.

But she doesn't want to be scapegoated?

Does Handel realize that scapegoats are traditionally innocent?

"Planned Bullyhood"

Oh, FFS. People who try to interject their politics into women's health issues are incomprehensibly stupid.

Women who do so, doubly so to me.

And in another thread, somebody will be complaining about how I make one post and "run away". When this is what I can expect to find when I come back do you see why I don't bother?

Komen is and remains dedicated to finding a cure for breast cancer. They are promoting a completely noble cause for all the right reasons. Whether or not they are doing it well or if their charity organization is being run as well as it could be is a legitimate criticism but the point is...

They are trying to find a cure for breast cancer.

If they have a falling out with Planned Parenthood and decide to no longer fund them and liberals really were open minded good souls and not like those horrible conservatives... That is to say, if liberals actually behaved like they should behave given what they claim their ideas and motivations are, the only reasonable and responsible thing to be said about Komen no longer funding PP is that it is "unfortunate" but good organizations like Komen who work hard to help women with a terrible disease should go on about their business and PP should find funding where it can elsewhere.

That would be what liberals, if they were the kind of people they say they are, would do. What did they do?

They immediately launched in to a smear and pressure campaign, treating Komen like some sort of demon spawn. They threw an absolute fit at an organization dedicated to fighting cancer because all that mattered to them was that PP continue to be funded. Everything else, potentially curing cancer and any good work Komen might have done up until that point was meaningless to liberals because they DARED to even consider not funding PP... the MONSTERS!

WTF is wrong with those crybabies?

FTFLFTFA (probably haven't seen that one before, have you?):
Handel says a session held that morning to prepare Brinker was "complete pandemonium," and the Komen CEO headed to the interview "dazed and unsure."

The result, writes Handel, was a "fiasco" - highlighted by aggressive questioning from Mitchell, who asked why Komen would have hired Handel given her disapproval of Planned Parenthood.

Brinker replied, "Karen did not have anything to do with this decision" - and Handel writes that she immediately thought, "Oh no. That was not true. I was part of the decision-making process."
What Handel seems to be saying is that all of the negative things being said about Komen's decision -- but denied at the time -- were absolutely true.

Handel just seems to think that those negative things were actually positive.

And, I say "seems" because I haven't read the book. But, honestly, I'd be surprised if the book doesn't bear out that interpretation.

This book WILL make the New York TImes Best Seller List.

The numerous GOP PACs funded by billionaires will be purchasing sufficient quantities of this book ensuring its "Best Seller" listing and giving it away for free at their local get-togethers.
