Romney's other celebrity supporters include The Oak Ridge Boys, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Donald Trump, comedian Jeff Foxworthy, country singer Trace Adkins, KISS frontman Gene Simmons, former porn-star Jenna Jameson, actors Scott Baio and Chuck Norris.

I'd love to see Jenna do a bunch of ads supporting Romney.

Where would Rapeublicans be without their big-name stars and cult of Hollywood?

Didn't Trey Parker and Matt Stone claim during the Bush years that the only way to go counterculture was to go Republican? This is probably the same thing, except more attention-whorish.

Why do we worry about which celebrity endorses them when we should care about who owns them?

Yeah, cuz pop artists built it all by themselves, with their unique artistic ability.

Shut the ever-loving feck UP and act/singing! How dare you have (and, worse yet, air) a political opinion, you thoughtless single-function automatons.

Wait? What? They support us? Speak up as loudly and for as long as you please. Here's a megaphone and a national audience. By all means, speak up. please. My silly mistake. I though you were one of them.

This story was the leading headline on a urban celebrity gossip site today. I was upset that the organization chose to lead with this story instead of the Michael Clarke Duncan passing,

Anyhoo, black folks were not terribly happy to hear Nicki say that she was voting for Romney. In fact, it went a little like "we are the ones that buy your cds biatch." Also, "Don't forget where you came from." I have never bought one of her cds or songs so I could care less. But I have to admit that I am less likely to buy her cd now.

To be fair, porn is one of the industries that benefits the most from relaxation of regulatory restrictions. Apparently the new law in CA requiring condom use in pornography has resulted in a measurable dip in the local groups' sales.

SoxSweepAgain: Who the fark is Nicki Minaj?

It's funny. The 15-year old girl down the street adores Nicki Minaj. It annoys her mother terribly, which is interesting because her mother is an old-school hard core rocker chick, mostly punk rock and early glam stuff. Against all odds, the 15-year old was able to find music that would offend her mother. I kind of think that's the whole point of Nicki Minaj.

She's a musical artist. I use both terms very loosely. I think she's an attention whore someone signed to make something close to music.

How is her persona any different than Lady Gaga or Katy Perry. They all learned the same thing from Madonna and applied it to their little slice of the pop cake.

For all I know there is some image genius in the halls of record companies creating legends for them.

/And it is quite possible Nicki Minaj is a liberterian republican.  I think she has a right to do that. Just because her skin is not pink does not make her gentically a pre-determined democrat.

Gawker did some fact checking, and it seems as if Ms. Minaj isn't even registered to vote. She also may not actually be a U.S. citizen, nor does she know that the Pacific Ocean is in fact an ocean, and not a sea.

Media TakeOut always pulls crap like that. Every other week is readers getting upset, writing 'wtf? fred, you (insert insult here involving ashy skin and/or african ancestry and/or dicks up the ass)! why you put X above Y? you ain't shiat and your staff (insert insult here involving lack of education and/or being a pawn of racist tmz).'

And yeah, it was big news on just about every black gossip and hip hop site these past couple days. Nicki Minaj has gotten destroyed by the black community for this one, Lil Wayne's gotten some flak, and so has Cash Money. To be honest, I like the argument that she fked up her delivery, and what she really meant was that Republicans say those things, and that she didn't really mean it herself....... like, one of her multiple personalities rapped it...... but there were intelligent ways to go there, and this one was it. Kinda like how Ludacris fked up and had to be rebuked by Obama when Luda insulted McCain in an ignorant fashion............. except this is even more ignorant on Nicki's part.

Nicki should leave the political commentary to the professionals like Common, Mos Def, anybody in the Roots, the usual suspects.

It isn't. Except racial politics makes it different from a Lady Gaga or a Katy Perry. As dangerous as it is for white women to present girls with bimbo images that sell, it's an even more dangerous road for black women. No matter how whorish a white woman's image, she can still bounce back to the purity card because the society that she lives in wants to believe purity of her. Unless she fks a black dude, then she's a lost cause. The same does not work for the black woman.

Black Barbie has a worse impact than White Barbie.

Fact check: Pants on Fire. As Matt Yglesias writes at Slate, "An economy with adequate aggregate demand that suffers a policy-induced negative shock to its labor supply ought to see inflation - constant demand chasing fewer workers equals higher prices - which hasn't been the American experience."
