Confabulat: frepnog: Dow Jones and the Temple of Doom: Confabulat: gmoney101: PG13 horror of Stephen King

You can question many of King's writing decisions, but he's never, ever been PG-13, unless you consider kiddie gangbangs to destroy a giant spider "PG-13."

That particular scene isn't PG13, but much of his work is. He falls somewhere between RL Stein and Clive Barker.

in "Under the Dome", a group of policemen rape a woman while a police woman eggs them on. There is a good description of how the poor woman's vagina was quite dry until she started to bleed.

in "Salem's Lot" there is a scene where a guy is walking down stairs and is attacked and eaten by thousands of rats.

in "The Stand" there are all sorts of scenes, but one good one is Nadine getting farking in the ass because she has to keep her vagina pure for Flagg.

I really think that you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

Cujo has a scene out of nowhere where some guy masturbates all over the family's bed for some reason, and then the dog eats him. I honestly don't see much of King's work as PG-13, except for some of his fairy tale stuff aimed at kids. Pet Semetary?

oh hellz no. that book is one of his most terrifying works. the first time i read that, I was alone in the house. I was totally engrossed and scared half to death, and looked up and realized that it was like 2am and storming outside. I couldn't even sleep that night.

about the only things King has done that you could call PG-13 are MAYBE Cycle of the Werewolf, MAYBE The Green Mile (although little kid rape and murder might exclude that) and MAYBE The Girl Who Loved Tom Gorden and of course The Eyes of the Dragon. There might be a few others but not much I can think of.

For christ's sake, Gerald's Game was about a naked woman tied to a bed because her husband died after she kicked him in the groin because he drooled on her during (or right before) sex. Oh and a dog breaks in and eats the husband.

fusillade762: What a dumb bet. "I bet I see some thing doesn't exist and that's impossible to document before you do!"

My thoughts exactly. As a firm non-believer in ghosts, I would bet that the person who sees it has to pay the other guy. It would be worth losing the bet if it meant seeing a ghost with my own eyes. And if the other claims to see one first, well... it doesn't matter if he's lying because I would get the money.
