I dunno, at some level Hamas has to shiat or get off the pot. Israel withdrew from Gaza in 2005, and Hamas has had plenty of time to build jails, gain informants, create civil authorities and police forces.

It appears to me, maybe ignorantly, that Hamas aids the rocket attackers, and doesn't try to stop it.

I watched coverage of that in a Iraqi Christian coffeeshop (not the first events, but the escalation after the election). Not the type to generally be all that sympathetic to Muslims, and most folks I've talked to about politics who were Iraqi Christian I remember voted Republican (I specifically remember a ridiculously sweet woman who lived near my parents telling me why she was choosing McCain). The disparity between the coverage they showed via satellite and what non-US websites were showing vs. US websites, to this day, still astounds me. Should have taken more screenshots.

If "might makes right" for Asia, Europe, and the United States, there can be no double standard for Israel. If you wish to demand that Israel give back the land they won in war, you must first demand your own nation does likewise.
