Never flash anything gun-like unless you intend to use it.

Otherwise, bad things can happen. Just sayin'

Perhaps this is a good time to define robbery for the Farktards who think a violent felony is "silly."

Robbery is the crime of taking or attempting to take something of value by force or threat of force or by putting the victim in fear.

A few pre-teens trying to shake down a fast food joint for free hamburgers with a BB gun is silly, if a bit scary for the implications of where our society is headed.

Apparently the employee working the drive through wasn't in enough fear to just throw some burgers at them to make them go away (and at least from what I remember from my month working at Mickey Ds back when I was 15, we threw a ton of food away because it had sat for too long, so it's not like they were even asking for anything valuable, that the restaurant would miss, or that the clerk would get in trouble for handing over if he really felt threatened).

Maybe a dumbass tag would have been more appropriate, but I can see the humor in this absurd situation.

were they arrested for attempting to eat the food?

/years back, a few friends an i were drinking while bsing on the front porch in the middle of the night. one of us said, "is there a buger king nearby? i tihnk i smell one frying food or something.

the nearest one was 5 miles away/

we collectivly came to the drunken conclusion that we don't have senses acute enough to detect an odor carried that far.

we then did some imbibed stumbling in an attempt to perform detective work.

we remembered that the crematorium was around a block away, looked in that direction, and noticed smoke billowing out the smoke stack of said building.

The Asshole Guy: I hope the silly tag is not for them being arrested. A lot of pellet guns look like real guns.

Amen to that. I bought this last year for my nephew when he visited, but I wouldn't let him keep it. It weighs three pounds, has a metal slide that is completely unnecessary, and can fire 8 lead pellets in 3 seconds. It's not as dangerous as a real gun, but it sure as shiat looks like a real one.

It's a Gamo PT-85, and they were clearly going for the "real gun" impression when they made it. Since I'm way out in the country, I keep it handy as an emergency gun, but with the magazine missing the first two rounds so you have to fire it twice before anything actually shoots out of it. It's a hell of a lot safer than keeping a loaded Glock under your bed. We keep the real guns locked up in a safe.

It also has one of the most difficult safeties I've ever seen on any gun, real or pellet or BB. You have to work to engage it.

Agree that Leary's character and rant feels shoe horned in, but the film itself is actually quite clever.

Decent idea, satisfyingly tongue-in-cheek, nice references to various distopian literature, great action scenes and actually quite subtle at times.

Can you see the humor in these kids getting away with a "silly" situation, and thinking they could escalate to actual robbery with a real gun, later on down their thug life? Are you people really this naive?

Or did I just feed an epic troll....

They all suck anymore. Now it is a matter of the degree of suckiness. BK has become very expensive. A single Whopper, small fry and small drink combo is $7 here.

Trolling? How can you come to that conclusion? Stupid? Go into any FF joint and listen to the people taking orders call out "I need a small fry please!" It's quite common. You're having a bad morning, ain't cha?

John iz teh kewl is a minor from what Ive gathered. He still lives with his parents, who call the police and ambulance in on him when he smokes pot because of his schizophrenic episodes. He also tends to speak gibberish in threads.

I actually found it more troubling that they needed to call out the police chopper to track down these "terrorists"

ffs anyone still want to pretend this isn't a police state?
