He's a nice guy with good intentions, but unfortunately, as a teacher, he was a nice guy with good intentions. I watched a few episodes of his reality show, but I could not watch more--just kept cringing. Too much of a buddy-buddy teacher, and he rambles a lot in his lessons; both of which I think are attributes of MOST first year teachers (myself included), but with his personality, I don't know if he could ever rise up above these shortcomings.

It was quite a worthy effort, and you could see that the guy cared, but I don't think he could have succeeded long-term as an inner-city high school teacher. You have to be able to cut through the BS and get things done.

fixed punctuation:

Tony is just trying to let kids know Who's The Boss. The average students today are not exactly Angles in the Outfield, that's just Baby Talk. They are more like 12 Angry Men. Anyone who has met All My Children, or who has been involved in The Practice of Family Law could tell you this. It's not just a Brooklyn State of Mind!

Well, I'm done here because it's getting late and I have to Crash.

KrispyKritter: sure, he's plugging a book. way better than shooting his mouth off about his political views like way too many Hollywood jackasses do.

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or if you don't realize that what he's saying is actually a political view.
