MisterLoki: And nothing of value was lost.

In this case, many things will be gained. He has done more damage to the American political system than a clone army of Koches ever could have done.

I remember living in rural North Dakota (I know, that's redundant) and this large crew of folks came to town and set up tents and camped out in the big park for about a week. I went and checked it out,as this was back in the days when your folks kicked you ot of the house after breakfast and didn't see you again until dinnertime. The people were really nice and even let my friends and I have lunch with them.
Later I came home and told my folks about it, and was forbidden from going near there again, cause I guess it was a bunch of Moonies doing whatever it is Moonies do.

Dallymo: Sgt Otter: SAD tag over the death of a cult leader? Really?

Didn't there used to be a "News" (not "Newsflash") tag? I was going to use "News" but it didn't seem to be an option and "Newsflash" seemed excessive.

Interesting? Misc? PSA? I panicked.

Moon seems to be a lot more likable cult leader than LRH or Koresh or Jim Jones. But I still didn't care for his political involvement or the Washington Times.

Anyway, R.I.P.
I wonder who will be the next incarnation of Jesus.

TFA: Officials say the religious leader who founded the Unification Church and built it into a multibillion-dollar business empire has died in South Korea at age 92.

Isn't this what Jesus was trying to stop with the whole "throwing the money lenders out of the temple" thing?

You'd have thought the fact that the good reverend wasnt a white guy (like Jesus was) would have been enough of a tip-off to his followers that the man was no messiah.
