Hot tea for me, but yeah, they're good that way. They're good with a cup of hot cocoa too.

I'm sorry. You can't beat a good bialy. I miss living in south Florida where there are good delis. A bialy with cream cheese and lox is divine, especially with a little sliced onion.

I love banana nut bread, but I'm not sure how the texture would translate to donut. Seems like it would fall apart during the frying process?

Should try Panera bagels. Tell em to slice them up thin like the samples they leave out and wrap it up in plastic so it doesn't dry out or go stale. Pop em in the fridge and you got about a week's worth of high society ghetto breakfast.

Ooh, there's a little deli in North Truro on the Cape that does a great bialy. They're perfect when you want a bagel with all the toppings (veggie cream cheese and sliced tomato, if you please) but aren't hungry enough for a big bagel.

90 cal per bialy.

I like Panera for their muffies (muffin tops). They're a great snack when you just want a little something.

Also, their cheddar broccoli soup is delish.

I wish the Politics tab would learn from this thread the next time someone posts a lame troll headline from some piece of incoherent shiat from Newsbusters or American "Thinker" (sic) or World Nut Daily. Just talk about donuts instead.

That's the same exact stance that females unfamiliar with shooting take.
It usually ends with them being knocked on their ass by the recoil of anything more potent than a .22.

I don't know, I cut out donuts when I was trying to lose weight and I really don't miss them. If anything as far as breakfast pastries go, I'll go with peanut butter and banana on a plain bagel.

Toasted pumpernickle bagel for me, with sliced, ripe field tomato ( none of that hothouse crap), and Hellman's mayo, and lemon pepper. Yum!

*reads article*

So, recently I've been making iced coffee. Boil some water, make it extra strong (use more grounds), but only fill the mug up halfway. Then I add ice cubes and a little cold water. It's tasty. Perfect for summer and doesn't need to be made beforehand.

I'm boring. Just a plain old whole wheat bagel, toasted lightly with some butter. I'll take the fancier things, sure, but a toasted bagel is my *ahem* bread and butter.
