At least Romney's getting better at imitating a human...before last week's software update, his response would have been, "You wouldn't have lost your home if you were rich and white."

Mitt Romney to unemployed: "Go to work and get on Monster.com!"

I remember one time when money was tight, and my mom had to put some groceries back because she didn't have enough money. I innocently suggested just going to the bank and getting more. I was three years old. Romney might seem out of touch, but he really connects with the average three year old.

That's funny, a three year old also doesn't think about the costs of starting 2 wars. WHAR foresight WHAR 3-year-old thamike, WHAR?

What?

Because telling someone to go to their flooded out house and use the phone (which probably doesn't even work anymore) is an idea so brilliant us libtards are too dumb to understand.

HeartBurnKid: Yes, 211 is a legitimate thing. That's not what makes this the action of a privileged asshole. Romney went down to a disaster area, ostensibly to help the people affected. One of the people affected asked him for help. His response to them was to basically tell them "go home (to a home that no longer exists) and call someone who cares".

The guy is so full of himself and so out-of-touch with the common man that he can't even manage to pretend to care./i>

This...

But the bigger issue is when asked what he could do to help, Jindal should have said STAY THE FARK AWAY! Instead Jinglebells went for the Republican Photo-op Tour.

The last thing anyone needs while working through a natural disaster, tyring to make the best of a chaotic, confusing and radiply changing situation, is to have all sort of secret service details to swoop in and starting taking control of stuff for the saftey of one farking person. Yeah, I understand why the SS need to do it, but they wouldn't have to be there if the one of a few VIPs were coming down.

I'm not sure when Obama is coming down, but hopefully he will stay out the farking way. And its not like he really needs to visit the area. LA and MS will not vote for a Democrat president anytime soon. Especially a black one.

This is actually one of my biggest concerns with him becoming elected. I could maybe live with the social conservatism, although I wouldn't like it nor want it. However, he strikes me as someone who is very likely to either intentionally or unintentionally start World War III. I know that might sound like I'm being dramatic, but before the primaries were over, I kind of thought he would be the lesser of the evils as far as the Republicans go, due to being somewhat more moderate than the others. However, seeing his "stances" on the current wars and other countries, how he has unintentionally offended other countries while traveling abroad, and the fact that he can't even get most Republicans to like him on a personal level, I think he's a real potential threat for us given the sensitive state of the rest of the world. It just seems like the house is filling with gas and everyone is just trying to breath and survive and Mitt's going to be the jerk to light the match and blow the whole place up all while standing there going "Was that bad? Should I not have done that?" Of course that is if he doesn't just go ahead and intentionally start WWIII in order to line his and his buddies' pockets or sell us up the river in some other way for his own financial gain.

The economy, jobs, gas prices, social issues, etc. are all important and are of major concern, but I really think our primary concern at this point should be the safety of our country and world and we need someone who can properly communicate with the more difficult to handle world leaders out there without antagonizing them and I don't think the Republicans of recent years have proven to be capable of doing that. Mitt certainly hasn't shown me anything that indicates he'd be right for that job.

I see your point regarding his out-of-touch rather boorish nature, but to be fair, WWIII will start only with the go-ahead of the individuals who actually run this country, not their Mouthpiece in Chief, though I'm sure it might look like he was giving the orders. (See=Bush).

Nevertheless, when it comes to dealing with the likes of Putin, I'd prefer somebody who grew up on the South Side of Chicago to a born-rich fratboy who's never lost a fight because he's never been in one.

DeaH: Is anyone else starting to think that Citizens United was just a brilliant left-wing play to get filthy rich Republicans to bring home millions of dollars and get it moving in our economy again? There has got to be a point where the rich guys figure out that you can only buy so much advertising before the market is flooded.

If you and your opposition both have enough money to buy roughly half the advertising slots, it doesn't matter that you can out-spend him 20:1. You're still going to get roughly half the ad slots. And if you are advertising an Edsel, it's still an Edsel. But thank you for taking a tiny portion of that trillions that you cycled out of the economy and cycling it back into our economy in the form of advertising and production dollars.

That's what voter id laws are about. David Koch can donate $20 million, but his one vote can be cancelled out by a welfare queen from Wichita. They're just protecting their investment.

Maybe Romney can bankrupt the banking system like the did with the Bank of New England in 1991 then get a Federal bailout to fix it, all while taking record profits for himself.

Why are people not considering his foreign policy stance that he's taken in support of Israel? Do people just not pay attention to that because Fox isn't covering it? That right there is enough for me to not vote for the guy, not like that was ever a possibility anyway. During WW3 taxes, abortion, and faith really aren't going to matter.

Obama wouldn't have made an idiotic comment that made the woman feel like trash. Obama has empathy and knows how to relate to people. So did Bill Clinton. Hell, George Bush knew how to relate to people. Romney just doesn't get it. It's not that he doesn't care, it's that he's lived in the bubble of wealth for so long that he can't relate to people who have to live under the rules of the 99%.

Actually, no.

We should be throwing all of our support to the Democratic party, and if you can't find it within yourself to do something that incredibly simple, then you should be getting off your ass and joining others to start another party.

Which I know you're not going to do. because it's more fun to convince yourself that both parties are doing the same thing, and it's bad.
