Condoms penetrate the end zone on the long play.

HOLY SH*T THAT WAS A HARD HIT.

Hawaii recovers the fumble at their own 2 off of the USC kickoff.

2012-09-01 07:53:38 PM
Why did Hawaii snap the football from the 10 yard line?

Did I not just see a ball hit out of the Hawaii player's hands while he was clearly standing up and then recovered, by Hawaii, at the 2?

The Homer Tax: FriarReb98: How is beating *this* Penn State game the biggest win ever?? Overstatement much?

For a school like Ohio?

I imagine they don't care.

Actually, the bars emptied out onto the main street. We may not always care but when we do something like this then we take notice.

We did it during March Madness less year and when we beat Georgetown a few years ago

Since I haven't paid attention, I'm sure the rule still exists whereby Pac12 refs are the refs for home games in non-conference matchups, so I'll just assume the refs are incompetent. I'm used to that.

Of course, if they went to a rule like most other conferences, where the officials are from the road team's conference, I'd also not be surprised because refs from the WAC and Mountain West make SEC refs look unbiased when it's an important game.

You know what Florida fans do when they win National Championships (in any sport)? They have another cocktail and then go home.

Meh. We're OU...we don't need a reason to get hammered and fill the street but it helps.

Besides, who else has heard of Ohio university compared to Florida? Can't we have our moment?

USC to start this drive from 1/2 yard outside of their own end zone.

They had a 75 yard pass already, up it to 99 this time. Just for teh lulz.

Florida State leads in their opener at halftime, 28-3 against Murray State. They really look good this year, but then again it's cupcake season so who knows how good they really are. One worry has been taken away, they kicked their ace punt return man, Greg Reid, off the team but they have replaced him with yet another track star with more moves than ex-lax who might even be better.

They have an interesting roster this year. They have golfer Jack Nicholson's grandson Nick O'Leary starting at tight end. They have all world RB in high school James Wilder Jr at third string because they are so deep with talented running backs. They have an outstanding senior quarterback in EJ Manuel, who at 6'5 245 pounds is a load. They have Bjoern Werner, the Berlin Beserker, anchoring their defensive line. Most of the first team defense and probably a lot of the second team defense is going to be playing on Sundays one day; they are so fast on defense they run down their mistakes. They have an NFL quality place kicker in Dustin Hopkins.

Yes, Florida State is most definitely back.

Hearing about Michigan's six (?!) offseason arrests reminds me of the NFL lockout fantasy league the Sklars did on their podcast, where arrests resulted in points for their teams.

I really dislike the Wolverines. I have a bunch of family in WV and with the whole Rich Rod debacle I began to develop a dislike the Michigan. That and I respect the work ethic of Alabama. They play tough hard hitting football. It's not flashy but everyone does their job.

In non-conference games you want teams in your conference to win to help your BCS score. A win against an Alabama team that beat Michigan is going to look much better to the humans and the computers than a win against an Alabama team that lost to Michigan.

Is it just me or did the USC receiver look like he was playing NFL Blitz 2000?

Is the sound messed up for anyone else in the UM game? They came back from commercial and now I can barely hear the announcers.

Big defensive stop for the Wolverines. But they have to be able to do that consistently.

Michigan's defense actually looked REALLY good on that 3 and out series.

Can they keep it up?

Yeah, except Alabama is Tennessee's rival. It would be like a Michigan fan pulling for OSU, shouldn't happen EVER.

Excuse my ignorance, but doesn't that make things better for the more dominant teams? The LSU's, the Alabamas , the USC's of the world?

When everyone in your conference sucks, you go undefeated like Boise or TCU and don't get to play for the National Championship.

Denard still hasn't learned to slide. Dude won't be happy until he gets concussed. You're not a running back; don't put your head down as you run into a hit!
