Donnchadha: So I just realized that I can watch all the HD channels.

This is amusing because I don't own an HD television. The widescreen picture gets compressed though, so I can see the whole image, but everybody is now really tall and skinny.

What year do you live in that you dont have an HD TV?

I can't wait for the aTm game either. Living in aTm country and being a Gator has been....tough. It'll be nice to be able to shove it down my coworkers throats.

If I were a coach I would not want to debut a frosh QB against this D, even at home at Kyle Field.

Oh, your poor thing.

Yeah, I already said that. The best answer I got was "it's Ohio U, let them have it."

\paraphrasing, but I'll take it.

To make my comment more relative to yours: I'm also very excited about the showdown @ Tennessee.

Honest. I am southern girl raised on SEC football and a Florida alum. Now, some may argue that isn't big time college football, but I would disagree.

Just bear in mind that when you switch, SD channels will become unbearable to watch. If a game I want to watch is on an SD-only channel on my cable, it's damn near the equivalent of not being on TV at all (unless all the other games really, really suck, I'm not watching a game in SD).

/this after years of "I don't need to get an HDTV, I can see fine in SD and I don't care that much!"

Anyone know how to get ABC/ESPN games in Europe on an iOS device? Apparently the watchespn app doesn't work here.

Comcast, let me watch the content I paid for!

QFT

Grew up on Cal football and thought I understood football futility. Then they turned the corner with Bruce Snyder. Got to watch Cal stomp Clemson at the Citrus Bowl in '92 (finally)

Then I went to Vandy and I fully understood football futility. Dowhower and Widenhoffer era if you could call it that.

Been to 1 NFL game and it was a bore, though it was at FedEx and it was the Redskins vs. the newish Texans so that could have something to do with the disinterest.

There is NO comparison IMO

There are two things in my life that have been "I'm NEVER going back" purchases. An HDTV, and a king-size bed.

King-size bed I went back on since I've had to live in apartments with small master bedrooms. I like a big bed, but I like to be able to open the closet doors more.

That amuses me - we don't subscribe to the Big Ten Network, but for some reason we get the Big Ten Network in HD, I assume because we have the HD package. Just not in normal def.

I wish we could get ESPN up here, but we can't get that either.

Have fun with your tall skinny football dudes!

Don't want to hear about no "vengance vultures." Ohio's win just made my day. Sick of Penn Staters acting like victims too just because their football team is going to suck for a few years. Zero sympathy.

Somewhat ironic considering my degree is from "The Ohio University" as well...

There are a few signs that say The Pennsylvania State University too.

No. It gets stressed by the fans. It's the stressing I'm wondering about.

A while ago Ohio University sued Ohio State University saying they could not use Ohio as Ohio University waas founded first. Court ruled in favor of Ohio State. Hence, THE Ohio State Univeristy.

Well, I just call it Franklin Community College.
