Forgot about the early one. Admins are still shaking off dragon con friday night I think.

I was still half drunk and couldn't find NBC on uverse then had to spend an hour wondering why it was on CBS. Thought NBC had all the ND games.

Gwendolyn: steamingpile: Slow To Return: Boise State fans get to STFU early this year.

Loving it already!

Next up, UNT shuts up LSU, Michigan shuts up Bama, and we all wonder which plane crash they'll be rooting for.

Nu uh! If a one loss bama gets in then a one loss Boise is just as good!!!

Just on strength of schedule I'd have not say no on that.

But they won out the same way so its a trevesty if they don't get into the NCG!!!!

OU should have recovered that because that was a damn stupid move by the QB there and he deserved to lose that fumble.

Oh, well I just assumed since it was Ireland they were the home team, that must piss off NBC.

And watching it this morning I could see where the college game could catch on where the NFL failed, college does have more of an excitement feel to the game since even when losing people still shout.

A lot of that excitement and atmosphere is due to the students and alumni of the teams playing the games. Minus that, college football is just a sloppier version of the professional game.

As a Vols fan this is a good weekend for me. Watched the game last night on the lake with 25 other hardcore fans. Today watching the games with my hound dog. In 2 weeks I'll be in Neyland watching the Vols reignite the Florida rivalry. I said it's great to be a Tennessee Vol.

Pulling for the Tide tonight.

I see it as the pro version is just a slowed down version of the college game, I have been bored a lot watching pro games but college is rarely boring. The big difference is college fans support their team win or lose, just like a lot of soccer fans. Pro fans start shiatting on their team if they lose two games, like giants fans wanting coughlin fired the middle of the season they won the sb, pro fans are just dicks.

It's still in beta, but you can look at the in-game win probabilities to find interesting games.

geom_00: I am going to get a LOT a flack for this, and you know what? I don't care.

GO! STATE! BEAT! BOBCATS!

I don't know how to say this anymore without sounding like a part of the "football culture" the NCAA described PSU as having. I hope you all will understand that I am supporting a University that I love. I am supporting the students. I am supporting alumni, staff, and faculty.

I am NOT supporting what happened.

I'm torn about this. As a general football fan and someone who knows people who work the university I always liked PSU because I respected the hard nosed old school football they play. After what happened, not sure where I stand. I want to root for them on behalf of the students, but I also want to see them fail for a few years just to show everyone involved in the coverup that their efforts at covering up child abuse to save the football program was all in vain. I think in the end the latter wins out. I'm already tired of the resilience angles ESPN is taking. So lose for a few years and then make a comeback

The NFL just doesn't have the same feel to is or something. I think, for me, it's the players. It goes from something that is fun and for the fans to a huge business to make money. I'm not saying I don't realize that college sports bring in billions of dollars. It's hard to explain I guess.

It's been an interesting year since Meyer became coach. Went to Los Angeles twice and patronized the Blue Palm Brewhouse on Hollywood. World class bar and official Ohio State bar. I bumped into a Wolverines fan rooting for the LA Kings in the playoffs. NYC was great. I also graduated with a degree in Geography and find myself underemployed. Oh welp.

Oh I agree 100% and I will watch if its on but I just don't care half the time and if my team isn't in the SB I just want to keep my beer full.

College fans have more passions even if their team isn't that great, NFL cannot say the same, they may show up but its not the same.

I think green bay may be the closest and that's about it.
