I doubt governor quimby could even walk 1 mile without stopping for an ice cream and a break, much less run 3.

I've often wished that we could settle disputes between politicians in trial by combat.
I say, toss Moonbeam and Lardass in a cage, give them each a sweatsock full of nice, fresh, wet dogshiat - and let 'em fight it out.
My money would be on Moonbeam. Yeah, I'm a homer. I even root for the Dodgers (hangs head in shame).

I liked the article, except it reminded me how many people of my political ilk are anti-HFCS nutjobs.

Whoever wins, we all lose? Uh, no. Jerry Brown seems to have his shiat together.

Christie will have to ask his secretary if he still has feet.

2012-09-01 09:19:50 AM
Christie heard "pushup" and thought it meant a frozen treat and shouted, "You're on!" He had to be wrestled to the ground by staff wranglers when he learned that no treat was forthcoming.

There were no serious injuries.

Chris Christie is so fat, if he encountered a black hole's event horizon, modifications would have to be made to the general theory of relativity to explain why the black hole didn't possess enough gravitational pull to suck him in.

Reminds me of the time Gary Gibbons challenged Stephen Hawking to an arm wrestling contest over whos name should lead when they named a theory.

I don;t think gov. Moonbeam thought his cunning plan all the way through.....if you plant the idea in peoples heads that key traits when electing politicians should be fitnesss or six-pack abs, we will wind up with govenors, "The Situation" Pauly D and Vinnie

WIerd. The left usually blames everything but the person when it comes to responsibility..

It's the guns fault someone is murdered, therefore it is the spoons fault Christie is fat.

So much for principles. and consistency.

Hey Jerry, how about a relevant contest?

Such as who can spend their State into oblivion faster.

Or who can do a better job killing their education system, or discourage more workers and businesses to leave.

Or who can have a higher unemployment rate (you are almost a full point ahead of NJ. Go Jerry Go!)

Your old ideas are destroying the State.

Actually Brown has made more cuts then any of the Republicans governors ever did. He is actually fixing the over spending of the past Republican governors in this state while creating jobs.

You need to look up the definition of the word example.

Heres a hint

A delusion with no proof is not an example.

California spending is not the lowest it's been in about 30 years. Lower then it has been when we had Republican governors.

Yeah but... Now your colleges are obscenely expensive. One of the reasons The university of Oregon has grown so much in the past five years is because it's cheaper to go there out-of-state than in-state in California. Thats a disgrace.

/sorry no snark directed at you, I just hate the "cut taxes! Cut spending!" attitude, as cutting services hurts far more than it helps

And then there is reality:

Sacramento - Governor Jerry Brown released a balanced state budget today that slashes spending by $12.5 billion, including an eight to 10 percent cut in take-home pay for most state employees, and proposes a "vast and historic" restructuring of government operations

Pension reform:

Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today outlined a sweeping pension reform agreement that saves billions of taxpayer dollars by capping benefits, increasing the retirement age, stopping abusive practices and requiring state employees to pay at least half of their pension costs.

line Item vetos:

Gov. Jerry Brown sliced $195.7 million from the budget that lawmakers sent him, disappointing fellow Democrats by taking money from child care, college scholarships and state parks and adding more to a rainy-day fund.

The Republican governors got us into debt at Brown is a real "fiscal conservative" unlike Republicans who is getting California out while drops are increasing more than any other state.

California, which sent a delegation to Austin last year to find out how the Lone Star State had beat it in employment growth, moved ahead of Texas to lead the nation in job creation for the last two consecutive months.

You talking points are not true.

The problem is in CA it's virtually impossible to raise taxes. He is doing what he can do. But it's much better then the Republican Governors who got us into this mess by moving the debt to the next governor.

Heres one example....it's Obama blaming guns for the violence in Mexico...Link

Heres one of Hillary blaming video games .....Link

Do you require more examples or are you gonna move the goalposts or just stick your fingers in your ears and cover your eyes like the hear no evil see no evil monkeys?

I didn't even touch upon all the articles and soundbytes and video clips from after the Aurora shooting. Or how the left blames education, income, health care etc.....but never the person themself.

Yes look at the "destruction":

California, which sent a delegation to Austin last year to find out how the Lone Star State had beat it in employment growth, moved ahead of Texas to lead the nation in job creation for the last two consecutive months.

Biggest job growth of any state!!! It's horrible!!!

Christie attempted to do the same thing but was called all sorts of names here on Fark and in the democratic state legislature for asking the union members to contribute 1% to their benefits package.....Moonbeam is making CA union members pay half.....why the difference in criticism?

Why is Moonbeam considered a fiscal conservative hero and Christie is considered an evil republican hellbent on destroying middle class union workers?

Thats something to be proud of?
