(CBS Houston)   Probably the best thing to come out of the 2012 NFL preseason is also the smallest. The Texans 5-foot-5 receiver Trindon Holliday who returned a punt or a kickoff for a touchdown in three out of four games   (houston.cbslocal.com) divider line 25

I guess I'll be taking the Texans' D/ST in the 15th round.

Yes, because preseason results always translate to regular season success.

That being said, this guy could be a last-round sleeper pick if you're already set at every other position in fantasy football.

FTFA: Holliday is the only NFL player to score three touchdowns on returns this preseason - and maybe ever- with two punt returns for a touchdown and a kickoff return for a touchdown.

I was already to come in and blast the article writer for not looking up the stats, but after 30 seconds of using Google, I could only find preseason numbers dating back to 2006. I still award no points.

As of 2pm central he is still on the team.

No 5' 6" DB's towering over him on punts and kicks.

Trindon Holliday is a god damn speed demon. He's among the fastest men America and could have been an Olympian but he decided to play football instead.

If they cut him, I'm leaving Houston for England. Oh wait...

Not only that, but guys that short tend to get lost behind the wedge. So if your return team can maintain a decent wedge the coverage team may not pick him up until it is too late.

Wedges are illegal now. Point still stands, though

The only good thing to come out of the NFL preseason is the fact that it is now over, and we are only 5 days away from the beginning of the regular season, and 9 days away from the first NFL regular season Sunday.

He has looked good, but preseason means even less for special teams than it does for offense or defense.

There are only two people on the kicking team that actually know what they are doing in the preseason. The kicker/punter, and the long snapper. The rest of special teams is made up of a hodgepodge of players even more so in the preseason when coaches are looking for backups to other positions, if you have two people competing for the same position if it is close even is someone is slightly worse than another player, if they are better at special teams they will make the team.

Essentially kick coverage should improve as the season goes on and as players actually play special teams. So I remain a skeptic until I see him in the regular season.

I am SO glad that Jacobi Jones can go not return punts for some other team.

You can't tackle him if you can't find him.

I was happy when the Texans drafted him from LSU, but he's been hurt since he got here. I'll admit he looked great finding a hole and rocket sledding out and we've needed a good returner forever. I'm just holding out till we play a good team for real. The first half of the Saints game gave me some doubts.

And damnit, the fairweathers are coming out in force lately. A fairweather is picking out a trophy case and the long time fans have cautious optimism. Farking idiots got someone killed at the Vikes pre-season game the other day.

It's all good till he chips a tooth or gets poked in the eye or gets a compound fracture.

A giant step for all the little men but I think it's only a matter of time till he gets crunched.

He's a speed demon. I wish him well, when he meets an object a bit bigger moving just almost as fast. It's preseason, and he obviously wants a job.

Let the games begin. God, I miss real Football. Replacement refs have sucked too. I hope everyone gets their act together because the fans won't settle for less.

I dunno. DG was only 5 8.5" and he not only lasted 20+ years at DB and kick returns, but he was one of the all time greats.

There's something to be said about the reduced wear and tear on your body from just being tiny.
