FTA : the "officers" informed the guard that there was a warrant out for his arrest, and persuaded him to lure the only other guard on duty to them before locking this security tour de force in the basement.

The two thieves, unimpeded by guards or a reliable security system, proceeded to take 13 paintings worth an estimated $200 million. The whereabouts of the paintings are currently unknown

Was going to make some crack about Dogs Playing Poker, The Crying Clown or Ship In A Storm until I saw that.

Holy crap!

It is a cool place.

Where wiki fails is this part:

Several empty frames hang in the Dutch Room gallery, both in homage to the missing works and as a placeholder for their eventual return.

That is not it at all. When she turned it over to the state it was stated nothing could ever be moved or changed. Even empty frames.

The servants used to watch her bath in the fountain in the courtyard.

She has an interesting history. One of the eccentrics of Boston.

Not really, because Cracked doesn't use slideshows. Unnecessarily breaking an article into a mere two pages does not a slideshow make.
