because it might be a neighbor, or even random passerby in need of help. However I DO always answer such late night calls with a Louisville slugger in my off hand. in This case it sounds like the genetleman of the house was an entreprenuer engaged in serviceing a clientele that preferred to shop at those hours

2 reasons I hate clowns:

1) anyone who wants to completely disguise themselves in make-up and costume to be around and "entertain" kids, is crazy and a pedophile.

2) if you wake up hearing someone breaking in to your house and you stumble upon them and they are dressed as a clown, you know that your death will be horibble, slow and painful.

Gacy. I'm an aging GenXer, grew up in the Chicago suburbs, and I'm convinced that it goes back to Gacy. That, and the prevalence of clowns has sort of diminished over time. Because they are pure, concentrated evil, and the sword is the only answer for them. Ain't no other kind of clown than a killer clown, and they must be killed on sight.
