They have a zip line over a crocodile pit in St. Augustine. Fun for kids.

Well, it's cheaper than buying lion food.

Better than the train ride through the baboon exhibit

Yup, definitely an Accounting decision.

A "Daniel and the Lion's Den" ride might be just the thrill needed to combat flagging attendance at the Creationist Museum. Maybe a "Forbidden Fruit" interactive snake-handling exhibit, too.

The six flags safari hasn't been the same since they locked up the monkeys 10 years or so ago. The best part of going to it was trying to antagonize them to attack your parent's\friend's\dude behind you's car.

The zoo near me has a zipline ride over the alligator pit. Or, as I call it, "No Effin Way I Am Riding That Thing".

It won't help.

Why are ziplines so scary when one is on the tower, anticipating the moment, but once you actually step off and start moving, you feel just fine?

When I worked at GA there were a couple nights they had is go into the parking lot banging trash can lids to chase the baboons back towards the safari. They would get out a couple times a summer.

I like the new safari idea but it will just cost more and the line will be real long.

They should have Christopher J. Christie test this out on a daily basis.

I always liked whenever a tiger would turn up in a backyard in windsor or something, and they would be all, "what, what tiger? what makes you think it was our tiger?"

I'm hoping that more than a few punk-ass, gangsta wannabes from Newark, Trenton, Camden and Jersey City get eaten by lions as a result of malfunctioning zip lines.

flesh eating virus or lion pit---take your pick

Assuming they take the same precautions as their roller coasters I don't mind. Your car ride to work would still be much more dangerous. Your caveman "ooh, scary animals" instinct is obscuring reality.

The flesh eating bacteria was a home made zip line. Bad idea.

There was a big cat rescue up there too. I can't remember if they shut it down though.

That was the best part. It turned out to actually not be their tiger.

Okay, whose brilliant idea was it to put the zip line over the lion pit at the safari?

Not mine. My idea was to put the bungee jump right over the lion pit. Cats love playing with shiat on the end of a string.

I'm a life-long resident of the GA area. So I'm getting... Blablabla...

Seriously, I'm actually a bit bummed about this whole changing of the safari. When I first read about this a couple of weeks ago, I immediately called my wife and said, well... We are going to the safari a few more times before Sept. 30th.

Well, tell them you shot it dead and see if their reaction changes...
