You know what I'm most surprised about? That hiremywife[nospam-﹫-backwards]oohay*com was not already taken.

So either she's too inept to design her own billboards, or her husband insisted on taking credit for them himself and she failed to get him to change his mind? I would not only avoid hiring her, I would spread the word not to hire him either.

The billboards went up Monday and have not gotten any hits in their hiremywife[nospam-﹫-backwards]oohay*com email just yet.

Oh, I'm sure he'll be getting tons of hits in the very near future, a few might actually be job offers.

/the rest will be WIE

Pfft. That 700 bucks could have paid for some decent cookware for the wife and a day at spa.
Idiots.

Women don't have the mental wherewithal to buy there own billboards.

She isn't qualified for shiat. He's an idiot for not recognizing that. Or he might be a lib.

Why husband instead of man in the headline?

Seems redundant.

If the wife needed a job that bad, the money could have been more wisely spent.

This. Pay someone to revise her resume (I'm not saying pad it, I'm saying FIX it since there's probably a lot of problems with it), or get her some classes in office management or something.

If it leads to a job, then this would actually not be true, it could be the wisest money spent. And it does have that 'standout candidate' thing down pretty pat. I dunno, it could work.

Noe of this can actually be true. Toledo doesn't exist.

If I did that, my girlfriend would kill me. KILL. ME.

Back in the days when people had something called pride they wouldn't have pulled a stunt like this. If times were tough, a respectable man would drop his wife off at a bawdy corner - in the dark of night, mind you, headlights off. But he would be totally respectable by dissociating himself from the reality of what was happening-back then that's what we'd call morality. He'd come back the next day to pick her up and they'd have a nice lunch together at the Howard Johnson's. He'd diffuse any tension by complaining about the goddamn politicians keeping him out of work and she'd offer supporting statements, often overstepping her bounds by mentioning a job opening she heard about through her brother. He would tense up, perhaps clench his fist and bang the table, sometimes, exclaiming, "God damn it, Dolores," and she would back down. And that was the end of it.

Bills that hitherto were unpaid now could be, and the husband never asked any questions about how they got paid. There were no questions in his mind-it was a clean mind.

People had pride back then.

Now we live in this sick messed up world where women have MBAs and their husbands support them working outside the house and they flaunt it on billboards where anyone could see.

Depending on the needs of the job, I might be willing to interview someone who promoted herself with a billboard on the grounds that it is a novel approach.

Having it placed by her husband, on the other hand, strikes me as being a clear sign that she is likely to be lacking confidence and initiative of her own. Bad call.

Willing to travel.
Willing to work nights, Bowl weekends

He thinks she's depressed now? Just wait til they get no legitimate hits from the billboard. Publicly embarrassed and jobless, great combo.

I'd see it as a defensive act because he was tired of her b*tching about not being able to find a job or perhaps she is the type of female that expects everything done for her.

Oh, what, you mean that MBA you bought didn't also buy you a job? Huh, weird because of the 10 people I know that got their MBA, all were skyrocketed up the corporate ladder into high level positions with high pay.

Experience in business you say? aaand academic experience!?!?! I mean that's not just qualifications any 18 y.o. fresh outta high school has, not without running a cash register anyways..

Look here! Lead training and development, ONboarding, develop existing talent and improve effectiveness? Well not like those sort of aspirations can be copy and pasted from monster or anything...
