DamnYankees: TheBeastOfYuccaFlats: Three-Fifty: Especially since she is one of those people who suddenly goes crazy and pronounces her last name with rolled Rs and nonsense.

It doesn't bug me, but I do get a kick out of people who speak without an accent until they speak their own name or something along those lines, and then whip it out.

This was a running joke on Married...with Children 20 years ago.

Aw crap, missed the gig. Meh, at least the thread is still here.

*reads huge chunks of thread*

A'ight, so once again a batch of lukewarm speakers hardly mentioning Romney and continuing to double down on every single lie they've woven into their derp narrative including the centerpiece "You didn't build that" derp?

So didn't miss much then?

Worst part of the "We built that" derp is that it's so disrespectful of America.

Not accrediting the country you built your business in for being a decent place to start a business, with decent infrastructure, police, military, courts, laws, currency, electrical grid, internet etc etc etc is basically saying "Fark You America, you mean nothing to me".

And yet these are the same guys who brand themselves "Real Americans" and "patriots".

You can't explain that.

DamnYankees: Al Sharpton, of all people, making the best points about Ryan's speech - "If you want great presentation of complete lies, then that was a great speech."

So, like Dick Cheney's debate with John Edwards?

*reads a little more thread*

McCain said he "trusted" Romney over and over?

Dammitsomuch, I woulda liked to have seen that.

Seriously, McCain LOATHES Rmoney.

Thinks he's a total "asshole" and a "farking phony".

And he's not wrong about that, of course, but to have actually seen him up on that stage saying those exact words about that man.

Great moments in Hypocrisy 2012 Edition.

It musta been even lulzier than the hug he had to give Bush at the 2000 GOP DerpCon after losing to the nom to Dumbya after the shameful "colored love chile" push poll in NC.

Farking phony.

I used to have a modicum of respect for the man but his 2008 campaign cured me of that ill.

Triumph: Authoritarianism is equally represented on the left and the right. Both sides support the TSA and other Big Brother stuff like NSA spying. The other thing wrong with our country is cronyism and corruption. Again, it's equally represented by both parties. Neither side will clean up Wall Street.

I don't know what's worse. The fact that you think it's possible to be "left" and "authoritarian, that "the left supports those policies" or that "the left" has any actual political power

chiett: 2000 plus comments, and most from sad little people desperate to prove that by voting for Obama they didn't vote for the wrong guy four years ago.
Sorry, but he did fool you.
Now fix it.

//we CAN change it !

0/10. Not the slightest bit believable.

broktune: Nothing better than reading nervous Lib posts. Yeah, you guys better get out to vote. Best line by Ryan who spoke about the college grad still living at home looking up at his faded Obama poster...jobless. Hit a bit too close to home for many of you huh?

I can't wait for the blame fest at the Democratic convention. Liberals are masters at shunning responsibility and blaming everyone else. "You're rich, you cheated to get it. You're religious, you're a bible thumping freak. You don't like Obama's policies, you're a racist."

Libs, why the undying love for Obama? What has he done? No jobs, rising debt, crazy spending and he's been campaigning for the last two years instead of trying to fix it. Fark, if he wins again, will he STILL blame Bush after 8 years?

It's telling.. no one has demonstrated that they can support Romney without lying about everything they say.

I'm not American, but I'll tell you one thing Obama hasn't done. He hasn't dragged America's allies into pointless wars in the Middle East. That's what made me angry watching the speeches at this convention, these vapid clueless GOP coonts claiming that America has lost face amongst its allies under Obama's leadership. That couldn't be farther from the truth.

If you think the warmongerers of the GOP are hated by US Democrats then you should get a load of how much America's allies hate the Republican party. US Democrats give you Republican assholes a pass because you're their fellow citizens. The rest of the Western world doesn't share that sympathy. We see the GOP for the hypocritical xenophobic jingoistic fundie assholes that they are.

Leaving aside the hundreds of thousands of deaths, Bush's pathetic little effort at addressing his daddy issues by attacking Iraq cost your country two trillion dollars. That's $6000 for every man, woman and child in America. And this same bunch of GOP cretins want to attack Iran and teach creationism in schools, all the while proclaiming that denying your fellow citizens healthcare is somehow a thing of virtue.

Goddamn right the Cheney Administration is still being blamed a decade on. How anyone with two or more functioning brain cells could even think of voting Republican is absolutely beyond me. The GOP is IMHO quite literally evil.

I love it how the verbal diarrhea brigade appears after the RNC speeches are done for the night. Well done, guys! Did you use the Derp signal to flock to this thread?

Do you have Trisomy 21? Did you read the thread? We don't have undying love for Obama. We have undying disdain for everything that Romney and Ryan have said, or disdain in general for the campaign of lies.

C'mon, sprawl. The parlance of our times states it's "Obama bin Biden". If you can't link the President and his Veep to terrorism, the terrorists win!

Most. Obstructionist. Congress. Ever.

Most abortion-related legislation ever.

Did you vote for that? Way to go, retard.

Literally, the only question this presidential election will answer is "do enough people hate the half-white President to vote against him?" It absolutely boils down to this. The GOP has absolutely less than nothing as far as positive suggestions and credible candidates. I have listened to stump speeches and suffered through nauseating convention speeches and it's pretty much 100% "Obama is horrifically bad so vote for the non-Obama."

The only explanation is that the campaign runs on hatred of the black guy. There's no way you can feel true pride in either of their clown candidate. They make Bush (and Nixon, actually) look upright and honest.

If you check the Political Compass, you will see there is an authoritarian left and right, but thanks for trying to live up to your screen name.

I frankly don't give a damn what a so-called compass says

If you can define left wing and liberalism and explain it is at all possible to be authoritarian then I'm all ears

Do go on at how an authoritarian leftist forces you at gun point to have freedom of the press, voting rights, human rights, etc.

Or just keep spouting bullshiat like the rest of the trolls on here who are so desperate to paint "both sides are bad" so disingenuous conservatives keep stealing elections.

I can do it in one sentence:

Stalin was a leftist.

Hitler and Mussolini were far right. Stalin and Mao were far left. This is the well-understood history of right-wing fascism versus left-wing socialism. Theses are examples of the authoritarians from both sides.

You are mistaking "left" with your (I guess) libertarian wing of liberalism, which is very different from the socialist/Marxist wing of liberalism, which still can be found quite celebrated in many poly-sci programs at many "liberal" universities. The Founding Fathers of America ran the gamut between "liberal" and "Conservative," but they were all largely libertarian minded.

Yeah, nothing screams leftist like an authoritarian military dictatorship with no freedoms at all for anyone.

Triumph: Theses are examples of the authoritarians from both sides.

No that's what you "think" is an example from the "both sides are bad" arguments used to justify hatred of liberalism

Not at all. You've just invented a new definition of leftist. There is no real difference in definitions between liberalism applied today and yesterday

To think that the USSR was at all Communist with "the people" owning the means of production is the most amusing part, actually.

The founders were the farthest thing from libertarian, some wanted to appoint Washington King, and all loved the idea of taxes and tariffs as long as they were collecting.

The only thing that makes them libertarian is the fact that they all wanted to escape to their plantations and fark slaves all day so nobody could bother them.

So, one of the first things both Hitler and Stalin did was ban citizen gun ownership. I suppose you think gun control isn't authoritarian, just liberal.

I heard they also ate food and drank water. Obviously more examples of them being liberal.

At least you finally cut to the chase and admitted you're a useless hack
