DeltaPunch: Also, this convention is slowly turning into a parade of candidates who would have been waaay better than Romney... heh

A parade of candidates who were smart enough not to sign up for the spanking Rmoney is going to take in November.

But I'd totally let her give me a hand job.

Where on earth did they find a fat middle-aged white lady to talk to at the RNC?

2012-08-29 08:49:13 PM

Popcorn Johnny: clevershark: I liked McCain back when I could believe that he had principles. His White House run cured me of that opinion.

McCain ran the classiest campaign that I ever remember. He even went out of his way to defend Obama when some of the loonys were getting really nasty.

Once in a while, the "good" Sen McCain would show up in that campaign, but he couldn't be there all the time. McCain had to move to the right, and that meant changing his whole personality.

AverageAmericanGuy: Alternative energy is something the Republicans should be focusing on, not oil pipelines.

This guy is a huge mistake. The crowd is turning.

I hear if you throw say, 500 million in taxpayer dollars to alternative energy companies, they strike pay dirt. Or is that go bankrupt?

cameroncrazy1984: SweetBluebonnet: When does Ryan speak? I'm voting for Romney/Ryan but damn this is boring as hell.

Are you in the top 1%? Because that is the only legitimate reason to vote for Romney.

You've been exposed to a massive dose of liberal propaganda, obviously.

2012-08-29 08:50:04 PM
I love Elizabeth Warren. I think I'm gonna donate some cash to her campaign.

Back.

Fat chick who says Obama didn't build her business but is trying to tear it down. She looks and sounds like she's reading from cue cards.

Obama hates successful people. Can somebody please explain to him where government money comes from?

2012-08-29 08:50:36 PM

Altitude5280: Eliabeth Warren on MSNBC. What a breath of fresh air.

Came to say this. I love how she talks and actually gives concrete examples of her points instead of just sound bites.

Indubitably: Afraid of the tubes, I suspect.

Too much Fee in Washington D.C.?

These roving reporters shilling for the convention on C-Span...real reporters? Actors?

Why is everyone talking like they are in a commercial for medicine or something? I'm getting a really strong "bad actor" vibe from these people.

King Something: Back.

Fat chick who says Obama didn't build her business but is trying to tear it down. She looks and sounds like she's reading from cue cards.

Noticed that too. Screams sincerity.

I look forward to the epic bloodbath between Huckabee (or his anointed champion, Santorum), Christie, and Ryan for the 2016 nomination.

TheBeastOfYuccaFlats: DeltaPunch: "That's why we need Romney to fix this mess!"

*weak applause*

Crap, Thune was so uninteresting... he looks like he could be the most quintessentially perfect presidential candidate, if only he had more charisma.

Also, this convention is slowly turning into a parade of candidates who would have been waaay better than Romney... heh

The crowd is very bipolar tonight, but I think they're suffering from a lot of re-run malaise. Even the floor audience is hearing basically a recap of the same thing (McCain's speech aside) every 20-30 minutes.

The crowd laughed at "tiny broken hands of the disabled." last night so they are at least doing a bit better tonight.

Itstoearly: One thing democrats will never understand is that those of us who believe in small government don't vote for things like equal pay, not because we don't believe in equal pay, but because we don't believe that government should have that level of power. But they want to pass all these laws that give the government power, and don't have the foresight to think "what will the republicans do with this power when they are in the majority?" This is shortsightedness and foolishness.

//Libertarian, not republican

So at what level do you prefer that something like this be enforced at? State, local, or not at all? You can say that you believe in equal pay, but obviously that in itself won't make anything happen.

While his vice presidential pick was accusing Obama of palling around with terrorists.

Palin was a horrible mistake and the McCain campaign lost control of her. Watch the HBO movie Game Change if you get the chance.

Hitchhikes with dog: "...third generation..."

Ahh, a bootstrappy, built it himself sort of guy.

Yeah, talk to my friend who lost a 3rd-generation business during the Bush administration, and is now $1M in debt, and trying to sell real estate to feed his family and bring it back.

Personally, my business crashed right before the last election, and I'm almost paid off the $100k in debt I racked up hoping to make a go of it.

Problem is that most white people think that rhythm is all about the meter, not about the groove.

This guy is about as generic a "heartland pop-rock" singer as you could possibly get.

Yeah I'm looking forward to Ryan... if he rehashes the same crap, people will barely applaud. Also, some pundits today were saying that he's basically a policy wonk that discusses the issue very well, but isn't the greatest speaker.

i don't expect a barn-burner from him, but I'm wondering if he will electrify or not...

I think the debates in MA will be great. Scott is good, but Warren is incredibly intelligent, speaks well, and isn't afraid to attack Wall St types.
