TheBeastOfYuccaFlats: Yes, Senator McCain, no one knows what AWOL means.

Funny how he was happy to embrace a guy who actually went AWOL from a *national guard posting* he got into to stay out of Vietnam. It's like failing remedial English (which wouldn't surprise me of Dubya).

TheBeastOfYuccaFlats: Yes, Senator McCain, no one knows what AWOL means.

It's interesting that McCain is saying that the Romney campaign does believe in more foreign intervention in Syria and Iran.

AWOL also stands for A White Old Loser.

Reaganomics worked. At killing the middle class.

At this point the conventions are nothing but an entertainment show to present their candidates. Nothing of substance is ever provided.

There ought to be a law:
That at each parties convention they must present, hand out to each person present, and recite the parties national planks. That way voters would have at least a chance to know what they are voting for.

2012-08-29 08:41:27 PM
Ah Obama lectures because he's an elitist liberal professor and Romney listens because he is a common man.

I think he believed he was being funny, maybe he was being condescending in that "don't you worry your pretty little head about it" way, but he came off just as a weird old man.

clevershark: So I guess Condi won't be the "special mystery guest" for tomorrow. My guess is it'll either be Robot Dick Cheney or Zombie Ronald Reagan.

It's going to be Clint Eastwood.

Dark suit, white shirt, red tie. It's practically a uniform.

I need to pull out my necktie color-implication chart again this election. I only remember red=power, blue=trust.

You know, last night I caught the tail end of the MSNBC coverage... Or it could have been the beginning of the after hour coverage. But someone mentioned how each speech very rarely mentioned Mitt Romney. Self praise, Obama Lectures... but never pushing Romney.

I'm seeing that now.

*weak applause*

Crap, Thune was so uninteresting... he looks like he could be the most quintessentially perfect presidential candidate, if only he had more charisma.

Also, this convention is slowly turning into a parade of candidates who would have been waaay better than Romney... heh

Christ Christie waited until 2/3rds into his speech to mention Romney. It was all I did this and I did that.

he had a chance to be vice president with Kerry -- THAT would have been heroic.

Instead he looks like an aging rocker trying to chew the head off of one more bat to get that one last curtain call.

The crowd is very bipolar tonight, but I think they're suffering from a lot of re-run malaise. Even the floor audience is hearing basically a recap of the same thing (McCain's speech aside) every 20-30 minutes.

Wow, good job man. You looked at my profile and found out that I lean conservative, or more realistically I lean libertarian. But since you saw that I lean conservative, then I must be some right wing nut job. Which I might say automatically makes me think you are a complete communist since you are not even being even minded about this. I will say I have read many trolls on Fark, but whether you believe me or not is none of my concern. I'm trying to see things from your side, but since you don't want anyone else on your "TEAM" then don't answer my questions. That is your choice. I am willing to hear from anyone on why you think the republicans are waging a war on women. And if they are, why ALL women are not fighting back? I've already stated that I am pro choice, and an atheist, so that pretty much puts me on the liberal side of that argument. Unfortunately that is mostly a religiously based decision that is trying to be pushed on people. Lets hit another topic I know you probably hate about the Republicans. Gay/Lesbian/Transgender. Personally I could care less what someones sexual preference is, I don't care if they adopt children, as long as they are good responsible parents. But I do not believe that sexual orientation should be taught to children. That is the responsibility of the parents, as does religious studies. So now that you know a little more about me, maybe you won't crucify me like the Romans did to Christ. (If that ever really happened)

/Sincerely Noblewolf...

Dude. It would take too long and this is a fast moving thread. Ask this question in a slower thread.

I have yet to see a thread with this topic that is "slow" But I get your point. Its why I've been missing so many replies as well. I'll lurk for a thread that is not moving at the speed of plaid.

As for the rest of you who don't want to let others see your point of view, so they can contemplate some kind of idea that will enable them to understand your position. Your the reason people don't get along, and I feel sorry for you being closed minded.

Enjoy the rest of the GOP Bashing Thread... Go Team Go!!! watev...
