Great, so every skit in that episode will include at least one instance of "it's like that time I was..."

They did it better:

I don't hate him. He's just untalented.

Midnight Rambler: strangeguitar: I don't get all the Seth hate.

He creates things that too many people like.

He hasn't done one second of funny, but he did singlehandedly kill King of the Hill.

fusillade762: This is my feeling as well. The "Human Cent-iPad" thing was where it lost me. If you have to come up with something so contrived just to parody a really bad horror movie and engage in gross out jokes then something is wrong.

But when it's good, it's amazing. The Imaginationland 3-parter was brilliant.

Spaztictacular: I don't watch SNL nearly enough to know ... but is this the first time that someone more known as a show/film creator/director rather than an actor been an SNL host? Genuinely curious.

Even if you don't consider voice work acting he has done a bit of "regular" acting in the past (The Gilmore Girls, FlashForward, Star Trek: Enterprise, etc).

tnpir: strangeguitar: Well, I am in deep violation of said rules. I think South Park just gets better and better

/seriously.

I must respectfully disagree. South Park stopped being funny after around the sixth or seventh season, when comedy took a back seat to pushing the envelope of obnoxiousness, just to see what Parker and Stone could get away with.

South Park still has its moments, but they're few and far between.

thecpt: gunga galunga: Did FG do another parody of Empire Strikes Back? Because I remember watching "Something Something Dark Side" with a bunch of friends. We sat through the whole thing in stone cold silence, all of us looking at each other with "is it just me or is this not the slightest bit funny?" expressions on our faces. The was pretty much the last time we ever put on anything Family Guy related.

Thats what my friends and I watched and we didn't stop laughing. We still call each other Nerf Hurders. My GF and I use the response of "Fark off" when the other says I love you. Did you watch it after a funeral or something?

No. But one of the friends had just gotten back from Afghanistan and we were drunk and primed to laugh. We all loved Blue Harvest. And yeah, we did chuckle at Peter/Han's "fark you" line. Apart from that, nothing.

thecpt: StinkyFiddlewinks: Family Guy takes Star Wars movies and runs through them scene by scene, Robot Chicken actually explores the consequences of actions, third party characters, and day to day life of the "Universe" instead. And it's hilarious.

I know you probably meant to say that the Family Guy parodies aren't as good, but the parody of Empire Strikes back is still one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Just like the original trilogy, second is the best and third is by far the worst.

Actually I retract my previous statement, the creator of Family Guy is the perfect host for a show like SNL. Since both shows do not at all hold up to the test of time. I mean at least for SNL it is because it is mostly political or pop-culture humour, but has anyone ever tried to watch an older episode of family guy. Other than maybe a handful of episodes, they are painful to watch more than once.

At least Kristen Wiig is gone. Her recurring characters got old way too fast.

/Will be missing Abby Elliot

Family Guy never really did it for me, but IMHO American Dad is the funniest toon around.

The unofficial fark rules state that you can only be a fan of the first two seasons of a cartoon.
