MS wrote pretty much all the BASIC interpreters for that generation of PC.

But a BASIC interpreter isn't DOS.

And Apple DOS was not MS-DOS

Nah, it was just Woz and his OCD - he liked repeating numbers (he tried to get phone numbers that were all a single digit). If I recall correctly, they aimed for a price at around $650, so Woz came up with $666.66 for the price.

Apple is bringing it on themselves, I have long said the only company that will kill apple is apple and by god they have done it.

Usually its apple indifference but I have had more people state hatred for them the past week than at any time in the past.
