Well, someone baited that line with a farking shark expecting to catch a few whales.

This is a friendly fark reminder that when you feed the trolls, humor is preferred.

Yes, the same cast of fable-tellers who falsely accused GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney of murdering a steelworker's cancer-stricken wife is now directly imposing a draconian environmental regulation that will cost untold American lives.

Obama never falsely accused Mitt Romeny of murdering anyone.

Michelle Malkin is a lying coont.

Again.

/I really don't like using that word to describe a woman but here we are.

CAFE fuel standards clamp down on the production of larger, more crashworthy cars.
Actually, new, higher MPG cars are better at withstanding collisions than older ones.. And that's not even mentioning other government mandated safety requirments such as seat belts, airbags and anti-lock brakes.

2012-08-29 07:59:17 AM
Ahhhhh hahahaha not only is the article still pushing the 55 mpg lie, but this shiat right here: CAFE fuel standards clamp down on the production of larger, more crashworthy cars.

You couldn't make this shiat up if you tried.

Even for Townhall this one is over the top. Better gas mileage kills people?

I have got to wonder if this might be too much for even the average Townhall reader.

Do we HAVE to greenlight two Townhall links every day? Is it really necessary?

So, she is claiming that higher fuel efficiency standards will lead to more SMART car smears on the road?  I think she may be right there.

Wait....nobody? You mean, Michelle Malkin is lying again?

Oh - never mind.

Except that higher MPG vehicles have only become safer over the years through innovations in technology but yeah I guess we could keep pushing the lie.

Michele Malkin, what year is this? I associate her with apologizing constantly for the Bush admin... seems out of context for her to be doing anything else.

Like most every other outlet, Fark is inexplicably desperate to cut into the Fox News market share.

No, I don't understand it either.

"Since you chucklefarkers won't move closer to your jobs, my hand is being forced. You will drive a car with higher MPG from your suburban sprawlmare to your job in a nice, walkable urban area 40 miles away and you will like it."

But if we make larger cars then their concentrated weight on American roads will cause the Earth to tilt off its axis, plunging the planet into a mass of ecological disasters as the planet wobbles off course and flies into the sun.

MITT ROMNEY'S DECISION TO SHUT DOWN A PLANT AND DESTROY COUNTLESS JOBS
probably didn't contribute to a woman's death.

The 8-foot, 8-inch vehicle received the highest rating of good in front-end and side-impact testing by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, helping address some concerns that consumers may be more vulnerable in the tiny two-seater.

Hmmm. I can almost convince myself that this level of DERP is a good thing. Think about it what we see in the FARK politics right-wing derpfest: more and more desperate and outrageous lies. More and more ill-informed and ridiculous editorials.

None of these things is aimed at moderates. None of these pieces is intended to change any minds.

This is the level of DERP required to keep the 28%ers interested in voting for Romney. This is the amount of work and level of discourse they are required to maintain, just to ensure their base votes for Mr. Moneybags Mormon.

It is the best form of good, but not quite better.

If gas prices keep going higher, I don't think consumers are going to mind 55 MPG cars at all. Although, I do get some major schadenfreude when I see that person on the news complaining about how it costs them over $100 to fill up their huge SUV. A swing from $3 to $4 a gallon only winds up costing me about $10 more a fill up, so my smaller car really turns these spikes in fuel prices into more of a minor annoyance than a catastrophe.

Source that it was Romney's decision? He was an investor, not the CEO.

Try again.

This is precisely the problem with Big Government. The Government is the only entity that can legally use force to make people behave in certain ways. Some people have decided that no one should own a large vehicle. Because they cant legally force a person to buy a small car; they use the government to force people to buy only what they wish them to. That is the opposite of freedom. It is Tyranny. It is the same as when the wacko right forces gays to be second class citizens. When you use the law to force your views on the population you are a Tyrant.

Don't forget to complain about how much it costs you to fill up your tank. Be sure to sneak in a dig at the President for gas prices.

Small cars with high MPGs and high fuel costs elsewhere is why the population in the rest of the world is declining. If they only were smart and all drove exteneded suburbans, Europe would not have a negative birth rate.
