The thing that makes The Onion funny is that its stories are at least somewhat rooted in fact. This article is just a fantasy fanfiction piece of junk.

At least the headline prepared me for it

Yeah, but at least it made me laugh. So stupid, it's funny

Your blog sucks.

I love alternative history fiction, and this is just horrifically written.

I've been playing with something I've been writing for a while, and it basically stems from Mo Lewis missing a tackle in 2001. It's Butterfly Effect, NFL-style.

Eh mildly amusing. But I think the premise that in an alternate world their situations would be reversed is dumb.

It wasn't like a coin flip that happened to land on heads so Manning was successful and Leaf became a criminal.

Right. The more interesting question would be: What if they were BOTH successful?

Also acting like "Bill Bellichick, who's that" is dumb. Even without Tom Brady, he'd still be a successful d-coordinator somewhere.

Another piece of the puzzle is that Lazerface and Eli would not be on the same teams, and the Giants wouldn't have two rings.

That's why the Mo Lewis hit changed so much in the NFL.

They must have a different O line too then. I don't see the Chargers winning 8 games with the line they currently have.

Funny exists in an alternative universe from ProFootballMock. Oh, and your blog sucks.

Wait who's Lazerface?

And you're right about Belichick, hell I'd even say he might be a successful HC even without Brady in NE.

He had Bledsoe (or the end of his career) to start with, and they did alright with Cassell who has turned out not to be special. He's smart enough he might have drafted a QB that let him be successful without Brady.

Fun fact: The only coach to not post a single losing record with Bledsoe as his QB was...Pete Carroll. Belichick had him for one season and went 5-11. Another season like that and he probably never gets the chance to become a "genius."

Bledsoe was great until Bruce Armstrong started to fade.
With an elite LT and O-line Bledsoe's issues with mobility and hanging on to the ball to long were eclipsed by his throwing ability.
Without that he became the journeyman we also saw in Buffalo and Dallas

You know; this always makes me laugh. A guy could be the most physically imposing specimen at that position; however, if he has the maturity of a five year old and you don't pay attention to it, you're screwed with your 1st round draft pick.*

See: Phillips, Lawrence.

* -- Due to the new CBA however, the cap hit won't be as bad.

I do like how Bizarro Manning hates watching film and refuses to audible.

A world in which neither Manning is in the NFL? That doesn't sound bad. Not bad at all...

Sure, the football is doing fine, but ten franchises had to fold due the effects of the Cybermen invasion.

Another fun fact is that people forget that Bledsoe subbed in for the injured Brady in the 2001 AFC Championship game.

The alternative reality I might believe in is one where Leaf is a meth addict rather than an opiate addict.

Say what you will, but the idea of Peyton saying "I ain't audibilizing shiat" is hilarious.
