(Talking Points Memo)   So, throwing nuts at a black CNN camerawoman and saying, "this is how we feed the animals," is apparently frowned upon at the Republican National Convention. Who knew?   ( 2012.talkingpointsmemo.com) divider line

judging by how the crowds responded at the debates earlier this year, this should be just the tip of the raceberg.

And who wouldn't want to be associated with these fine people? I mean, I'm not a member of the Democratic party either, but Jesus Christ. Purple Heart band-aids in 2004, booing as a Hispanic woman is being introduced, and this in 2012?

You people have issues.

The booing while the Puerto Rican lady was introduced had nothing to do with her really, that was a fight about RNC rules, not directed at her.

Exactly. No surprise this would happen at the RNC; when you surround that group with a bunch of people that think exactly like they do, they will honestly act out every time.

Yeah, but look at the optics of it. I should have clarified that, but it just makes them look even more insane.

Lawls.

It's weird, I'm finding my ability to be outraged by RW racism blunted by this point.

I'm burnt out and can only feel a vague disgust where I used to feel a white hot rage.

Guess I'm getting jaded.

Why insane? They're voicing their protestation over the Ron Paul delegate/seating thing.

In that large convention those are probably the only people in the room that care about the future of the country, and not just because they would be alive to see it.
I disagree with many of the Paulite stances, but they have my support in this regard.

The Republicans ought to be thanking their lucky stars that the major networks are mostly ignoring this embarrassing clusterfark. It's hilarious though. Republicans gathered together in large groups forget that they are hilariously retarded to normal people and so the comedy will continue to ensue.

I laugh at us. America is the land of the gullible, the dimwitted, the happily ignorant, and the farkwads.

God bless the USA, we need it.

They're laughing at us because we elected a do-nothing empty suit four years ago that is destroying the country with his socialism and letting Iran walk all over him, of course. If only we had a real conservative in charge, someone who would bomb Iran to show the world who's boss give the neocons another sandbox to play in at the expense of everyone else...

Not to take the focus off the RNC, but this right here is a perfect demonstration why CNN is a bunch of spineless dicks who deserve to be put out of their misery. What they *should* have done is take the tape of the incident - this was a camerawoman, she was taping the thing, I hope - and march right up Romney on a live feed, play the tape on a monitor right to his face, and not walk away until he addresses it. No "isolated incident" excuses. No Admiral Akbar "it's a liberal trap!" bullshiat. This is his convention, and 100% of these people are invited, vetted, and screened by his (Republican) people. Grow a pair, CNN, and defend your own staff.

But no, it's far more important for CNN to pander to Reince Priebus and kowtow to the mouthbreathing idiots who'd rather masturbate to watch Fox anyway.

/Submitted this with an angrier headline

If only there was some kind of 3rd-party fact-reporting institution at the convention, who could investigate the identity of the person and find out under whose authority and in what capacity that person were attending, and then report that information back to the public....

/sigh...

It's all fun and games until everyone realizes the size of our nuclear arsenal, Navy, standing army, and what we consider to be a "sustaining" military budget in peace time (not that kids these days remember us without a war going on).

I'm actually scared of Republicans. It frightens me that there are grown adults that live in my country, that willingly subscribe to that level of fear, ignorance, and pure hatred.

It shames me.

Political conventions are designed to and usually succeed in bolstering the nominee's election chances.

I'm starting to think the 2012 Republican convention is making things harder for Romney.

Your not the only one that thinks that.

It was obvious late last Friday Isaac wasn't going to hit, the GOP still canceled the first day late on Saturday. Then they blamed the liberals for it.

More of the usual "I uncovered someone who likes a Republican politician who is also racist. Therefore ALL Republicans MUST be racist, no matter how much other evidence there is that this is not true."

Based on that logic and a recent shooting in D.C., we must believe that Democrats are all secret gun-wielding terrorists who will shoot people they disagree with on site.

Dude really raised the convention's level of discourse by quite a few notches.

/in all seriousness, tip your hat to 'im; if you're gonna be a racist farkwad, then really commit to it and go all the way
