If they dig deeper and find the bodies the whole world will know the truth of what happened to all those "permabanned" Farkers.

Sex Cauldron? I thought they closed that place down.

Eh...Nice rack.

Hopefully it was an underground sex club...wait until they start finding bodies.

I like the fact that versions of classic paintings are now "NOT SUITABLE" for all ages. Saturn Devouring His Son (#21) is by Goya, you assholes. And we all know "The Scream." Christ these journalists are stupid.

A bland surrealist adaptation of Fuseli's "The Nightmare" ? This is supposed to "depict a series of bizarre images, sexual and violent?

Is it just me or is this just incredibly provincialist bullcrap?

I think rolling into an abandoned place like that would creep me out a little.

That is a copy of Francisco Goya's Saturn Devouring His Son. (1819-23). Its an incredibly famous piece of art. Its in the goddamn Prado in Madrid, Spain, FFS.

As long as they don't dig too deep everything will be fine.

If the mods really want to have fun they could delete your post. Heh heh.
Of course, I am just kidding.

I *hope* it was just a sex club.

2012-08-28 04:13:55 PM
Creepy, yes. Kind of a jump to insist it was a sex club, though. Based on what? The rack? The word "Latex"? That whole thing could have just been a cheesy dance club. The rack was likely decorative, methinks.

I went into an abandoned bunker in Germany once. It was being used by some Satanists as a...church or whatever they'd call it. F*cking weird, yo!

As an ur an explorer I have found some weird shiat, bit never anything the likes of this. #jealous

Though I did find a straight at an abandoned psych facility this weekend. I normally don't take souvenirs.... But I made an exception in this case. CSB etc

I think it's a poor attempt at quoting "Wedding Crashers".

/On the other hand, it kind of reminds me of The Shining (Kubrick version) when the ghost party gets going.

We have the same sort of place by our house. I drove my son by there one night and asked if he'd like to go in. He answer, and I quote: "F*ck no"!

Wow, that article takes me back.

There's a similar-looking, more than century-old building in the Loop (downtown Chicago) that used to have a similar play space on the fourth floor in the late 90s.

Yes.

FTA:"This is the weirdest I've ever found," said Greg Harris"

He doesn't say the weirdest thing he's ever found. Thus, the subject defaults to where he is, which is the newly excavated Sexbunker. This means he's found more mundane and ordinary underground Sexbunkers around town, but this one's the weirdest.

I am completely ignorant about art, and even I knew this one. It was on some text book somewhere along the line, and the story of Kronos eating his kids is pretty well known.

How did they decide this was a "sex club?" It looks like any number of genercially decorated "lounge" type bars, from "decades" ago or that currently exist. Sex club??? I don't get it.

Why should drawings be more or less suitable for anyone simply because artist x drew them?

A lot of works by famous artists (the mackerel, for example) are just better quality versions of the smut my friends and I doodled on our notebooks in middle school.

What makes a classical painting of demons and devils so superior to the works of Rob Zombie?

If the only difference is tgat someone told you it was superior so you looked at it in a better light, then that's silly.

Note I'm not saying the scream isn't suitable for kids or agreeing with censorship.
