The real selling point is getting to huff oxygen all day.

And 5 minutes after putting the thing on, someone would be tapping on the helmet. Put out all the signs, put on headphones, turn off the phones...co-workers never, EVER, get the message that you are busy in concentration and don't want to be disturbed.

I wish I had one of these for the break room. I might actually be able to read then.

Sadly, that was also my reaction to this otherwise-brilliant invention.

It'll be awesome when the oxygen tank runs dry, and you start re-breathing carbon dioxide, and don't realize it until you pass out, and then you die.

As I understand it, you'll eventually pass out from lack of oxygen, BUT if the body senses a build up of carbon dioxide it will react and you'll start gasping for air first. You wouldn't have the same reaction if you simply lost an oxygen supply (like at high altitudes or crawling into a helium-filled balloon). In those situations there's no build up of carbon dioxide in the body and you simply pass out.

I have this great invention. It's called a door. Much less butthurt than yelling "SHADDAP!" and would get me in less trouble than putting crazy glue on the rims of coffee cups to make coworkers stop whistling.
