Why bother picking the RNC? You can catch them all later at the gay sex clubs.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

To be fair, almost every RNC Florida tag article is going to involve 95% out-of-state people so its not us that's doing it for once!

Reminds me of a friend who went to a Klan march. He and some buddies went around putting rainbow stickers on trucks with more than 4" lifts. A cop saw them and said "I'm going to have to arrest you guys, but I'm outnumbered here so I need to go get backup first. Should take me about 10 minutes. You boys stay right here ok?"

Yes, the officer was black.

Alright, you're off the hook for this one but you know inevitably in short order an article is gonna show up telling us about some face-eating, bible-thumping, gator-wrestling freak with a tattooed asshole and you will once again have to hang your head in shame.

Less a question of "if?" than "when?", really.

/Actually have 5 bucks in the Fark Florida Headline pool that says the next one will come from Pensacola.
//Got a hunch, playing it.

So, show me where the police in this article violated that one. Because as far as the article reads, it sounds like the police were more worried about the ones blocking the sidewalk and/or spilling out into the street with the dancing. No arrests, no forcible breakup of the protest, everyone left to a place of their choice. Sound more like the police said "This isn't a good place because people can't around you and one of you is going to get clipped by a city bus", the protesters it seems agreed and moved on.

This, i generally dislike cops and will pile on most cop hate threads, but it appears that the officers in this article were even handed, fair and looking out for the safety of everyone involved while ensuring the protestors exercised their first amendment rights

Sweet, I'm going to go yell "fire" in a crowded theater, pass out pamphlets saying my neighbor is a child molester, and practice my ancient religious ritual of human sacrifice.

I'm all for free speech and the right to assemble peaceably, but if I get inconvenienced by someones protest, especially if it's a cause that I don't care for, especially if it's a cause that I'm against, I will not be happy.

What I mean is, why should I have to have to give up something for a cause I don't care for or outright disagree with?
