fark you, Apple. I like your products, but your company has become like overpaid gangsters.

Because fair competition is for lesser companies.

Apple is the Evil Empire, has been for years. At least other people can finally see so.

Looks aren't everything.

But this whole "patent" system we have is worth about a pound of piss in a windstorm, as far as "spurring innovation" goes.

After the jury's (incorrect) ruling, can any farker truly say they are surprised at this?

Wow, I figured all this railing at the jury was just butthurt by Apple hators(**), but the more I read the more this is looking like a notoriously bad verdict. How did Samsung's lawyers let Apple stack the jury like that?

Honestly I really don't know jack about patents and if this was good or bad...but this made me laugh.

"Apple says this list is only "to address a portion of the immediate, ongoing irreparable harm that Apple is suffering."

Yeah they are doing so much harm and suffering to you that you posted a nearly 100% profit increase over last quarter...Link

"Net Profit Increases 94% Year-over-Year

CUPERTINO, California-April 24, 2012-Apple® today announced financial results for its fiscal 2012 second quarter ended March 31, 2012. The Company posted quarterly revenue of $39.2 billion and quarterly net profit of $11.6 billion, or $12.30 per diluted share. These results compare to revenue of $24.7 billion and net profit of $6.0 billion, or $6.40 per diluted share, in the year-ago quarter. Gross margin was 47.4 percent compared to 41.4 percent in the year-ago quarter. International sales accounted for 64 percent of the quarter's revenue."

Tellingthem: Honestly I really don't know jack about patents and if this was good or bad...but this made me laugh.

Errr... this is relevant how exactly? I think Apple ought to be groin-kicked for this fiasco myself, and yet I still can't see how their current profit margin has anything to do with this?

If you made widgets, and Joe made fake widgets, would you be ok with the judge in the infringement trial saying, "Well hell you've made plenty of money this year so case dismissed you!" Kinda doubt it.

Regardless of the fact that Apple's pooch-screwing of a circus-trial mess has caused possible precedents that frighten even lawyer - how much money they made this, last, or any year shouldn't be part of the consideration.  Being annoying at someone's fakey bullshiat trial logic for fakey bullshiat reasons makes no sense.

It pains me that I grew up using and loving apple products, I had an Apple 2e and 2c sitting alongside my c64 for years before upgrading to a 286 with DOS 2/3. I used them for a long, long time. Then they became irrelevant for my needs and I moved on. I still had fond memories of their products but that is fast disintegrating.

Screw you, Apple.

To me, apple saying they suffered harm is them saying they can't compte in the market place and has to force alternatives off the market to win.

/even if the iPhone was the only smartphone on the market I still wouldn't want it

Really its says the galaxy III skyrocket infringes on design and appearance? This is the stupidest jury ever, the samsung is huge compared to the iphone 4G and they look nothing alike, the 4G is obviously square while the skyrocket is more of a tapered rectangle narrowing to one end.

Most of the patent is so farking vague that every electronic device ever made that can fit in your hands infringes on the patent, the problem is the guy running the jury is a douchebag troll, how long till 4chan starts in on him?

Here is the vague bullshiat.

Google once sent letters to Samsung asking them to stop imitating the Iphone. Self-incrimination by Google. Not even high priced lawyers can protect you for that.

/I am butthurt too.

Looks like the ban list is comprised mostly of older, outdated phones. I'm sure Apple would have loved to have been able to ban the sale of the Galaxy S3.

2012-08-27 11:56:55 PM
All of this is horse shiat, if they are even trying to say anyone would ever compare the two then the jury are farking retards

Link

Here are both side by side, only a blithering idiot would think the two are the same device, the skyrocket is almost an inch wider and a half inch taller than the iphone 4, how much did apple pay this guy to swing the jury? They lost every where else with the courts basically telling apple to get the fark out of here with this nonsense.

They did, but the moronic jury even said they infringed on their design with the galaxy II skyrocket and they look nothing alike, the skyrocket dwarfs the iphone.

Quite a few of them were released early this year or late last year, Im all for ATT giving me a free upgrade to the galaxy III

It's an import injunction, not a recall. Their won't be death squads stalking phones.

I think it will happen, but it shouldn't be a big deal since the SGS III and other newer models aren't on the list.

The sad part is that newer products like the 10 inch Galaxy Note are getting poor reviews that describe them as having been designed by lawyers to avoid Apple patents.

The skyrocket is not too big, the only thing I didnt like is the case is too slick. I had a phone previously that was brilliant in its simplicity by adding slightly dimpled edges to allow you to grip the sides.

Then apple wins by stifling all competition, its what they want so they dont lose like they did to MS years ago.

Who cares? Nothing is going to change for consumers.

2012-08-28 12:58:08 AM
If this keeps up something weird is going to happen. The standards for who can and can't make what is going to get revolutionized, or just stop working altogether because the litigation is pointless.

Similar to our bi-partisan government or the courts in general. There's no more give and take and do what's best for all, it's all party line, some win X, others win Y, and precedent is going to count for farkall.

Something is going to give eventually and part or all of it will plunge into chaos.
