I only bought the Wheaties box with Mary Lou Retton on it because I thought they were giving away chances to eat her.

I enjoyed the idea of her Taco Popping before I even fully realized what that meant

She also set the world's altitude record and flew her plane under the four bridges of New York's East River, a feat that has never been duplicated.

Until tomorrow, that is ;)

A big bowlful of Wheaties with plenty of milk or cream and some kind of fruit.

For some reason that makes me laugh

Proof positive that no matter what the subject, some whiny dork will come in to biatch about it.

No, I don't have a potato up my ass.

Maybe not but there might be a stick jammed in there somewhere.

From the box in #5:

"The Wallenda's always include Wheaties among their favorite foods.

Good to see the misplaced apostrophe has such an illustrious history.

George Wallenda is a Wallenda and member of a family of Wallendas, if he is included with other members, but not the entire number of members, of his family then he is a Wallenda of Wallenda's and not just the Wallendas.

/As an aside, the mini-box of Wheaties featuring Kirby and Kent from the 1991 Twins team is the most ludicrously valuable disposable sports memorabilia in existence, some in pristine condition with seal unbroken (that means "uneaten") can hit over 1,000 bucks.

//Only given away at public schools the day after game 7.
///I love the Twins. Of course I'd know this. Don't own one, but there is a box out there signed by both Hrbek and Puckett that's supposedly rarer than a Honus Wagner.
