Actually, was pretty good summer, right up until we got water damage in our basement and kitchen. Vacation this week may be postponed... :(

I did enjoy a lovely week in the Outer Banks with my wife and children. On the ride home from the beach I got a BS speed-trap ticket going through some podunk town just on the NC side of the NC/VA border.

Upon return from the beach, we discovered that El Derecho had dropped the upper 40 feet of a 60 foot poplar tree on my house. It was particularly disappointing since we'd just replaced the roof following last year's Hurricane Irene dropping a different tree on the house.

This time, however, it broke all the way through into the kitchen, so we get a new kitchen out of the deal.

Two weeks ago the sewer in our rental house backed up and I got to spend the weekend shop-vacking sewage out of the basement and sterilizing the whole place with bleach. Now I have the cleanest concrete floor you ever saw.

And I'm embroiled in a really farking expensive custody fight with my loathsome biatch ex-wife.

And my wife thought she was having a heart attack, turned out it was an aneurism (not ruptured), so we're taking care of that.

Eh, but who's complaining.

I guess I could post pix from my summer music festival excursions... but really, I was too drunk & high to shoot anything well. But Lollapalooza was a blast, Outside Lands was OK, Wilco & Andrew Bird was fun and MMJ & Band of Horses was great.

Well up until last week I was working as a Temp for home depot, Temps dont get vacation time, ever. For a temp, vacation time is when you get fired for something stupid or laid off, that happend about a week ago. So this is my vacation, its being spent finding another job. Wee.

Holy crap. We vacationed close to each other. We stay in Ste. Anne des Monts... made about halfway out to Gaspe this year on various day tours.
