No surprise here, the only surprise is how well TO conducted himself after being cut.

I doubt TO can afford someone to handle his social media/PR anymore, so I'm assuming those were his own words.

Maybe, just maybe, in the NFL you need to focus more on catching the ball than running your mouth.

When they signed him, there were two schools of thought on the Fark threads: (1) "no big deal, just another slightly interesting camp body with a little bit of upside; this team churns players in and out all the time, no risk if he doesn't produce or become a distraction because they can cut him"; and (2) "ZOMG this proves they don't know what they're doing they're so desperate for wide receivers they got nothing and LOL Pete Carroll hahahaha!" We now know knew all along which side was correct.

TO still left an indelible impact on the Seahawks in his short time; namely, making Flynn's preseason completion percentage worse than it should be.

I almost did, until he tweeted the number "4" for the word "for."

Fark him... fark his "4" and he can shove his tweet up his tweeter.

Honestly, if he does concentration exercises to improve his catch rate, he could probably make it as a mid-season injury replacement. His problem wasn't defeating coverage, which is what many recievers of lesser experience struggle with.

I almost guarantee that was Jordan Woy's people. Jordan had it retweeted within seconds.

I'm sure he would've years ago if he wasn't broke (which is his own damn fault, but still).

I have no idea (nor do I really care) what happens to him now, but it wouldn't surprise me if five years from now we're seeing headlines about "Terrell Owens signs on with the Ulan Bator Oxmen of the upstart Mongolian Football League".

Are there camps to do concentration exercises at? Maybe that's what he needs.

And another day passes that I am glad that TO decided to be a whiny little brat and refuse to be traded to the Ravens.

I think Devery Henderson told stories about some which the Saints came up with for him that he credited with helping him make the team. So I imagine so. It's frightening to think of the TO that might have been if he'd dedicated himself, without ego, to his craft. He's 2nd all timerecieving yards, with a 50% catch rate for a huge chunk of his career. I don't think there's any reason he couldn't be at 60%. What amazing is he'd have to be at like 80% to even be in the conversation to threaten Jerry Rice.

Exactly. I don't know why everyone was so worried about this guy. Players can only be distractions when they have leverage - he had none.

TO trains hard and goes out and runs his routes hard. He's 38. Hands have never been a strong point for him. If he sucks now, it's cause he's 38.

Question his attitude and character, sure, but it's not a lack of effort. If you want a lack of effort, talk to Randy Moss, who can't be bothered to run hard if he's not targeted.

Everytime I see this guy's name, two thoughts pop up ...

1. "The T.Oh-cho Show!" yell advertisement.

2. Jeff Garcia, the first of many bridges burned in the NFL.

That's what I was thinking, some team is going to have half their receiving corps blow out their ACLs and end up signing Owens to finish out the season. He looked serviceable enough in that roll. Honestly if he'd kept his mouth shut and been less of a cancer early in his career I think he'd still be collecting a salary. Not starting, but kept around since he knows the playbook, isn't a terrible option as second or third WR, and can help the newbies learn.

Say goodbye to Tyler Thigpen and Vince Young. If Jackson sticks, it'll be Fitz, Jackson, and Smith. I can't believe Thigpen has lasted this long.

I was wondering if anyone had anything good to say about him. I'm glad you did. I cannot recall a positive story about T.O. ever, and that's a shame. Most everyone has some good in him.

I remember when Barry Bonds was being vilified, and some lady wrote a letter to the editor of the S.F. Chronicle telling about how she was on the freeway and her car caught fire. A Mercedes stopped on the other side of the freeway, and a large black man ran across the freeway with a fire extinguisher and put out the fire. Then he ran back to his car, took the next exit, got back on the freeway, and stopped at her now smoldering car. He took her to a gas station, and (because it was a rough neighborhood) waited with her for a tow truck. That's how I like to think of Barry Bonds. I always liked this story because it redeemed a person to me whose image (at least publicly) is almost universally negative.

Jeff Kent and Barry Bonds got into a fight one day. The entire SF team sided with Bonds.

I love that this cat was playing for the BumFark Egyptians last season, is 38 years old, apparently dead broke or close to it, and STILL couldn't keep himself totally in check in practice and on the field. If you can't see fighting for a 3rd WR slot on the Seahawks for a min contract for the last, last, last, last, last chance it is, then you really are the biggest douchenozzle everyone thought you were.

I loved Jeff Kent when he was a Dodger. I even wore his jersey to a Dodger/Giant game last week to torment the Giants fans (who ended up getting to see their team win anyways). I suppose that the fact Jeff Kent still has a fan is a positive for him...

I didn't, but now I do.

Maybe there's a big sign over the camp: work makes free agents employed.

Christ, now THAT's a challenge.

Jeff Kent once got up in a game I was at. Dodgers Mets. Mets were up 3-0, and the guy ahead of Kent walked on 4 pitches. Kent got up and swung at the first pitch. Grounded into a double play. Sums the guy up well.

He'll be a hall of famer, too.

T.O. might have enough left for a year or two in the CFL. But that would depend on him wanting to relearn how offences work, to account for the running start and different field dimensions, as well as frankly the desire of either him or a CFL team to sign him.

Given the struggles of my Roughriders as of late, I could stomach him for the last half of the season if he can behave. I guess.

You know who the Jets should call for help with their drops? T.O. I think they're going to set the record, but T.O. could help them obliterate it.

Unexpected, and I think Wilson would greatly benefit from sitting a year. But he doesn't really seem to be the normal rookie QB, so fark it.

I'm just laughing at the NFC West's repeated desperation for QB's that's leading to these repeatedly failed free agent signings. How much have Flynn and Kolb cost their teams?
