Those can't be real cops.
Real cops would give him a beating just for making them get out of the car.

Good job. While you were busy trolling the cops, there's a non-zero chance that someone just got raped or robbed or assaulted that could have been stopped.

2012-08-26 12:40:59 AM
Seriously? Like the cops need another good excuse to randomly beat people? Because these guys deserve a beating.

I'm not a fan of the police, but trolling them "for fun" is a waste of taxpayer money and police time. They have better things to do than be unwitting participants in your stupid prank.

True, but there's also a non-zero chance that an innocent bystander didn't get shot, who would have.

Depends, were those NYPD?

I'm a huge fan of pranks that waste cops time and taxpayer money too. But it's not nearly as douchey as trolling the bomb squad.

Yeah, there's coffee and donuts to be had.

I would imagine most of these cops were pleasantly amused, a nice change of pace.

How hard would it be to watch him for 30 extra seconds to see if there was actually paint coming out? It's pretty easy to tell he's not actually tagging anything. If that's trolling the cops, they deserve it for being lazy.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BREAKING THE LAW AND LOOKING LIKE YOU ARE BREAKING THE LAW IS A VERY THIN ONE, JURIES AND JUDGES SHOULD REMEMBER THIS WHEN HEARING POLICE TESTIMONY.

a valid point, but it was the cops who were occupied, not someone who might actually prevent a crime, versus taking a report and filing it to be forgotten.

Yes, and when that crime is reported, the police will show up afterward to do their job.

It's not their job to somehow know ahead of time who's going to get raped or robbed, teleport themselves to the scene, and prevent it. You do know that, don't you?

Ad agency pulled this on filthy sidewalks in LA. 99% of the time ads=mind poison. In this case they deserve a half sarcastic bow for creativity.

You know what would have been really cool? If these guys could somehow remove the grafitti while trollin' da police.

So first you make a crack about cops not doing their jobs, then excuse the prank by suggesting that cops not do their jobs?

That's exactly the sort of clear thinking I've come to expect from Fark....

I would love to see someone with brown skin and/or a funny accent try this prank. Bonus points for doing it at night in the inner city.

2012-08-26 05:18:56 PM
So then in a magical world, the police then went into the building to see if they would like the original graffiti investigated. The owner declined as it would be sheer punishment for the officers to get out of their air-conditioned car for more than 7 minutes, as the business had it's rooftop unit stolen 3 days ago.

/Luckily the white dude didn't get busted for 'huffing' that can of duster.
//then they search him and find the wireless microphone and shiat factor 10 engages for all parties.

decent point, but I'd argue it's not the same thing. A cop in his car already patrolling (which is what they typically do just before they get "the call") is in a much better position to respond to an emergency than one engaged in conversation with some douchebag who wants attention. Sometimes, seconds count.

When my neighbor threatened to shoot me for having my music too loud. Cops arrested him, seizing the gun he was waving around and a second in his house.

I suppose we could pretend no one has ever made good on a threat and no one would repeat offend were they not arrested. Seems silly though.

After a few minutes arguing with a Farker, though, can you blame him for pulling a gun and threatening you?

I have you marked in light beige. I can only imagine what it must be like to live right next door to you.

Yeah because that rape you are talking about was definitely in the vicinity of those guys when they were out there standing next to him, but they chose to talk to him instead, and they even turned off thier radios for the 10 sec interaction the event took out of thier day, thus missing the APB that was sent out for the rape that was taking place where they were located.

Dumbass.

Seconds count. That's why it takes the pigs half an hour to respond if you're lucky

Anyone who calls a police officer a pig has never needed one in times of distress.

2012-08-27 06:19:10 PM
Every time I've needed a cop the bastard wanted to arrest me instead of the guy committing the crime. They've ignored sexual assaults on former girlfriends, multiple parental kidnappings by my ex wife, attempts to kill me, etc. But when I call to report a guy that plowed into a neighbor's car, the pig wanted to arrest me for the crime.

They can all die of ass cancer as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. It's borderline humorous, but only so far - after about the second time, you're just being a douche.

I'd call it karma. Although I'm willing to bet there is a lot more to those examples than what you're telling us.

I'll vouch for him. 1 - He explained this already in different thread. It's a new account but he's been here under another, which he locked himself out of. D'oh. 2 - Over the last couple of weeks or so he's made lots of smart, or at least, competent posts which is how he caught my attention.
