The link goes to a score prediction league called I Know The Score by TalkSport (UK). Guess the final scores of all the Premier League games each week, and the closer you are the more points you get. So even if your preferred team sucks this year, you can still eke out a victory here.

Originally we talked about it last year but were going to let Chupacabra Sandwich do it. He's off the reservation, though, so midpoint was kind enough to set up the league last weekend. I figured I'd have a quick thread this afternoon to let in the last of the weekend soccer crowd who wanted to throw their hat in the ring. I think midpoint had some ideas for prizes in mind, but until I confirm that it's just for bragging rights.

One more. It was only 18 when I submitted this, but if there are more than 20 it makes it more fun. I'm really only keeping the seat warm for midpoint, but I think he's probably long to bed (he's in the UK, I believe)

Hmm beyond Champions League I rarely watch English squads, but yeah what the heck, I can't pick the league I DO watch, maybe I'm better off not knowing much other than the players I want to see move my way during the transfer windows lol

Fark Fitba, but if you click on the link for this thread it'll take you right to it.

It's pretty random anyway, and with the grand total of $0 to enter it's money well spent. Plus it gives you the a rooting interest in some teams you normally wouldn't give a crap about.

Thanks for coordinating, y'all

If you've been invited to join a mini-league, you should have an email containing a bespoke code. Just enter it in the box below, click the Submit button, and you'll be all set. Happy predicting!

bespoke me!

I signed up and joined the league without a code, but if you need one, maybe it's FBD92-CDN

That's what midpoint posted last week, at least

Right now, bragging rights. If 20 people agree to pitch in though, $5 per person would be enough to buy the winner a jersey.

I'll chip in if everyone wants to, also a cheaper more fark like option would be cool, something like the Stanley Cup but for soccer, the Farkley Cup if you will.

/a metal beer mug would about cover that, maybe a username on it if you get fancy

This is good, getting some traction. Go make some picks, I think everybody will probably be sharing their picks after the first games start tomorrow.

Ta very much.

To anyone who doesn't make the 'deadline' of the first game tomorrow - don't worry. As the scoring system allows for negative points to be scored it is very possible you won't be far behind the leaders even after all of the games this weekend. Feasibly, 0 could have you along the leaders if the quality and accuracy of predictions is up to the usual standard...

Thanks to Unfreakable for the early slot on this.

I like this idea... a lot. Looks like you can get a metal beer mug from Things Remembered for about $20. Maybe get two for the first year- one for the winner, and a "traveling" mug that gets passed around at the end of each season. The logistics would be a bit tricky, but not hugely so.

Howdy everyone. Long time lurker, first time poster on the EPL threads. I'm in for the cost of admission!

And for the record, I'm a Manchester United fan first and foremost, but also follow Flamengo and the Brazilian National team as any good Brazilian should

A good Brazilian fan would root for teams that include A) Thiago Silva, B) Kaka, or C) Pato

Remember, being Fark the correct answer is always C

/Forza Milan
//still love Kaka though, B is acceptable i suppose
