My girlfriend's dad apparently never had to say that once in the whole time since he married her mother. She is now in her junior year in college. She missed part of her childhood.

I feel it's one of those things dads have to say by law. Like the guy who you know works with soybeans has to say, "DID YOU KNOW THERE ARE OVER THREE BILLION DIFFERENT USES FOR SOYBEANS?!?!?!?!" whenever you discuss it with them.

Soooo.... The punishment is that both companies cannot sell their older model wares in the country?

Oh darn, they can only sell their newer higher price point items to consumers in the country. That'll show em both.

Not only does it suck, it was ripped off from the Slashdot comments.

First greenlight of 2012 and THIS is the thanks I get.

And for your information, it was NOT ripped off from the Slashdot comments.

Apple's slash-and-burn legal strategy bodes ill for everyone. Especially Apple.

Sylvia_Bandersnatch: Apple's slash-and-burn legal strategy bodes ill for everyone. Especially Apple.

...yes, Apple's the only one.

... the court had found the South Korean firm guilty of violating Apple's patent relating to the "bounce back" function. The function lets users know that they have reached the end of a screen that they may be scrolling through on their devices.

Meanwhile, Apple has been found guilty of violating patents relating to telecom standards held by Samsung, including technology that makes the transfer and transmission of data between devices more efficient.

I keep trying to think of a humorous comment that at least tries to sound neutral, but I just can't think of one. There's no way to pretend that makes Apple look anything but sad.
