I enjoyed reading his stuff.

Yeah, he was fun to read. Unlike most crackpots (if that's what he was) he had some definite writing skills. It seems to me that he actually seemed to be test-driving the John Titor character for a novel which never got published...shame, really, because it might have been a good read.

But if there is Romneycare in the future, Subby, that means:

1. Romney won the election
2. He got Obamafail dismantled
3. He got his own plan implemented by Congress, implying that the Senate is no longer in the clutches of Dingy Harry Reid and the Do Nothing Senators
4. We invent time travel and regular trips are possible

I never believed it, but it was a great story. Entertaining, thought provoking... and internally consistent. He had plausible answers for almost everything, and a lot of his science he discussed was true, and/or theoretically possible at least. Even his reason for wanting the old IBM made sense. All in all, it was a great work of fiction and I am glad I got to read/follow along with it.

As I stated in an older thread, my Great-great-grandfather might be a time-traveller and happens to look a lot like me.

Somebody needs to make a really good, and as serious as possible, time travel movie. I'd go see it in a second.

I heard Primer was ok but still haven't seen it. Due to the subject matter, time travel movies seem to always be campy. I wish they'd make an actual 'what-if' time travel movie.
