I figured this was coming. Their last phone, the Ion, was greeted with a giant meh from the tech press and customers. The hardware was decent, but they failed miserably by launching a brand new phone with Gingerbread instead of ICS. Also, outside of AT&T I don't think they have any presence inside US carriers at all.

As an AT&T customer who just replaced his SonyEricsson Xperia with an iPhone 4, I saw this coming too. My Xperia was crap after about a year, to the point where many apps simply weren't compatible with it anymore and I couldn't even install some Google apps on my damn Android phone.
