"Experience the thrills of real pro football as you compete in authentic stadiums"

I don't think Thunderdome was an authentic stadium.

Too bad it's a misprint; I'd actually buy that version of Madden.

Chase down Tim Tebow in a Canoe and kill in slow motion? HELL YES!

Illegal substitution on the offense, 12 men in the canoe...

Can you save replays in the new Madded? I recall it being a feature in 2004 or so and never saw it again. Updating my Madden this year, but haven't seen that feature mentioned anywhere. With the new collision system, I'd figured they'd add it back.

Wasn't there actually a game that had stuff like that a few years ago? It was an unlicensed game if I recall. I know there was one where you could choose to do steroids and send hookers to the opponent the night before the game.

Seems like it's a line from the description of AC3?

NHL has let you save replays for as long as I can remember; If Madden doesn't allow you to that seems like a huge oversight.

I'm pretty sure there was, but if it's unlicensed AND you don't get to see any of the actions (it's just a menu item), it's not that fun.

what's the penalty for that? Unnecessary roughness or roughing the quarterback?

Unneccessary roughness; Tebow isn't a quarterback.

Pretty stupid move; if you're playing career mode then by the end of the season he's risen and commands his army to completely obliterate your franchise into the fiery depths of hell.

It said PSVita, so it must be for AC: Retribution (at least I think it's called Retribution). The existence of that game saddens me. Finally there's a game where I can run around and murder people in ye olde French Quarter, and it's on a platform I'll never buy. But it does look super spiffy!

This. It would be the greatest game in the history of everything.

Which just reminds me of my idea several years ago (probably stolen from somewhere) about combining Madden with GTA.

I don't think you'd ever even need another game. You'd probably have to catch your own flights and everything to the games to make sure you get there on time...offseason...man, Pacman Jones is going to seem like an upstanding member of the community.

/probably have to kill Goodell to make it possible to play the next season
//maybe more of an AC/Hitman style game
///football player by day, crimefighting assassin by night? Oh f*ck yeah.

I fully expect there to be a Madden 13 meme of screenshots of Tim Tebow being destroyed in the game.

Ah, good ol' Madden. Move some names around and you have next year's game.
Exclusive rights to NFL video games is a bad precedent, competition is needed.

That's typically how I feel, but it actually sound like there are some real advancements in this year's version. Different WR icons based on whether they are looking for the ball or not, CBs not being able to swat a ball unless they can see it, the new physics engine... I'm intrigued.
