the beer mile is tough. i've found that former collegiate runners who went to state schools in the middle of bumfark nowhere where all there was to do for entertainment was drink are the best beer milers around. well, other than olympic athletes i guess...

The world record is 5:09, this guy did it in 5:19...and missed the record by six seconds. I guess that's beer math.

FTA: So, Tuesday in Oregon ... armed with a case of Coors

I thought you had to drink beer.

I've gone sub 6 in this challenge but it was years ago.

Poundit Hardus: The Andy 500

Do you have any more info on that? My google skills are failing me at the moment.
It seemed fun at first, but then it ended like I figured it would - a bunch of drunk people arguing over who did what, and who "won."

Why run. I've been a part of 3 pub crawls and have yet to see the finish line. For all that is wrong with Cleveland, they sure have a tough course.

My best was just a shade under 6 about a year out of college. That was 15lbs ago and in SERIOUS drinking shape.

The overall time HAS to factor in whether he was drinking 3 point or 5 point beer, amirite?

I always thought I would make a better chocolate milk miler than a beer miler...

/More people throw up with the milk
//may try to arrange a beer mile after everyone finishes thier fall marathon this year
///or before, whatever

Oddly enough, my last three greenlights have all had an error in the headline. Now I know what it takes to get a green around here.

// at least it did say "six seconds" in the article

He's got a 3:36 1500m to his name so, obviously, he's got to work on his drinking speed if he wants to break the record.

I used to run over 100 mi/month through the last two years of HS and most of college, to the point where I was still able to run a 8-minute 1.5 miler (Navy fitness test) at 22. But as much as I always wanted to, I never combined beers and running. I've heard of Hash House Harriers and the like, but I really feel like I missed out on something after watching this video.
