If he doesn't want to be accused of pandering, he shouldn't go around saying how proud he is to be a Cherokee.

I swear I read a few articles just like this over the past few weeks. Except they were pointing out that the GOP presumptive candidate for POTUS did they exact same thing this guy is crying about now.

2012-08-23 02:58:33 PM
Just so we are clear, this website claims Warren is distorting Browns words by taking part of a clip out of context. the problem is, It isn't out of context. he said-

I don't need Professor Warren talking, or speaking, or commenting on my votes... [she shouldn't be] distorting and misleading the voters about where I stand on issues.

Sorry Brownie- but you didn't just say Warren should stop distorting and misleading. You said she should stop talking, speaking, or commenting. There is a huge difference.

2012-08-23 03:22:34 PM
Warren speak with forked tongue?

2012-08-23 03:28:45 PM
Brown's record on the economy is one of partisan obstruction. Brown joined his right-wing Republican colleagues to filibuster and kill the American Jobs Act, the Rebuild America Jobs Act, the Teachers and First Responders Back to Work Act, not to mention Middle Class Tax Cut Act.

Scott Brown is a Dufus

And yet, he has a 5% lead.

Amazing, the apathy of the MA voter that this guy still has a lead. "Well I mean, he hasn't been that bad, so I'll go with him even though this other person has accolades that boast her commitment to protecting the average citizen."

Nope, he has a truck, she maybe said she was a Cherokee, clear cut end of QED book 'em, Danno.

one awesome solution would be to kill the people who edit like this. whoops, ok, maybe not kill.
But once they have been proven to show a false/misleading edit, the station which aired the spot, must run a correction. which shows the correct edit. in exactly the same time slot. (not 3am ...)
so if o'rly showed the ad at the top of his show, he would have to show the corrected segment at the top of his show.

Forcing real retractions with REAL costs would fix these lies from both sides.
No one would air propaganda if the cost would be paying to show the truth.
SIGH

/micheal moore's edits make me want to punch him. sorry, but when either side cuts off a sentence or lies with edits, we all suffer.

I don't see where the editing changes the context. You told her to stop talking or commenting on your votes. That's a pretty silly thing for a sitting Senator to say.

The graph -- in which they are nearly tied -- is HuffPo's own estimate using 26 polls. The 5-point lead is only from one firm, Public Policy Polling, which surveys likely voters.

Historically, Brown has placed 1-2 points higher in any poll from this year that surveyed likely voters, while Warren has placed 1-2 higher in any poll that surveyed registered voters. The only thing special about the PPP result is that 5 points is the largest lead we've seen recently, but again it's likely voters, not registered, so take that how you will.

Really? You know, just because Brown's ads say how independent he is doesn't mean that he doesn't vote in lockstep with the far right on every major issue that actually matters. The media will crow about how his vote saved Planned Parenthood funding and how he's not afraid to buck his party, but that is utterly meaningless tripe compared to the stuff that he's voted with the GOP on. Jobs bills being at the top of the list.

His ads are bullshiat. His record is bullshiat and Warren is totally right to call him on it. I hope she creams him.

If you look at 2010, most people who associated themselves with 0bama lost their elections.
That is why many ran from 0bama endorsements and talking about 0bamacare.

So I hope they give her a big teepee to emerge from at the convention and have her talk like the sparrow on the plains

They were just arguing that
- the word "that" actually means "those"
- that the rules for antecedents has changed
- and that a lot of business owners were claiming they built their own roads and bridges which is why 0bama had to set them straight.
- that "If you have a business" was not actually a phrase and therefore anything said after that was unrelated to this non-phrase.
- that if you don't have a business then you did build your own roads and bridges
- that 0bama is the most brilliant speachifyer EVA - but don't listen to what he actually said, imagine what you would have wanted him to say.
